Booked this hotel via Travelzoo, so we got a pretty good deal at around $175/night. Typical W fashion and decor, however rooms are super tiny. See photos of our room - and this was already the medium room (I can't imagine how the small ones look like!). The room looked a bit dated, just a bit spruced up with some... More

I am writing this letter of appreciation for Ms. Lisa "Montana." I stayed at the "W" New York from June 4-6, 2010. I love New York. My niece and her family live there, so I visit every chance I get. This was my first time, however, staying at the "W." What impressed me about the "W," beyond the ambiance, was... More

Location: The location on Lexinton Avenue was alright, but if location is important, I'd choose somewhere closer to Central Park or Midtown East/Chelsea, the latter location is where we ended up dining almost every night. Rooms: The room was cramped, but that is to be expected in New York and we did have sufficient space to unpack our luggage. The... More

I had 2 nights booked at this hotel in June, I'm a platinum member with SPG and have stayed at many other starwood properties. I can't remember the room type we had, I think it was one step up from the Cozy room, but we walked in and walked right back out again. It was incredibly tiny and with zero... More

After reading some of the reviews about the W on Lexington, I have to write to say they are vvery undeserved. Our stay was memorable. OK the rooms are not large but what do you expect of a city centre hotel. But, and we had four rooms for an extended family stay, they were all comfortable and stylish. The staff... More

Pros: - Great location. - Quick and easy check-in, nice staff at front desk. - Rooms are nice and clean. Cons: - No room upgrade what so ever (I am SPG Gold). - I expected more quality in the facilities for the amount of $$$ paid, not good value for money. - Very small rooms...especially the bathroom is super small.

We PriceLined this hotel, and got the "Cozy Room" for $180, and the room originally was going for $270 so we got a deal on it. However, we had just checked out of an upgrade Junior Suite at another hotel, and were worried about being cramped in a "cozy" room (roughly 150 sq. ft), so we called and asked if... More

Typical W hotel- contemporary furnishings, shiny surfaces, etc. Rooms seemed like they could be a bit cleaner- no sparkle, however the beds are very comfortable. I ordered room service and it arrived cold- I was too tired to send it back (my mistake). I would be back if other hotels I prefer were booked.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
