I stayed here with my wife for 5 nights in January 2015 for a conference. Everyone from the nice greeter at the door, the folks at check in, and especially Jessie Sidney who took care of us on the 18th floor were great!

The rooms are just to small. The fact that you to bend underneath the tv to get to the bed doesnt help. I have stayed in travlelodges with more space. Location isnt to bad but you can find better hotels with a better location for similar or less. It was impoosible to take a bath as it wasnt a size... More

I stayed here in August of 2014. The hotel is beautiful! Super modern and definitely an impact upon walking in! There is always fresh water right by the elevators which is a nice touch! The wifi cost was a little extreme considering the hotel itself already isn't cheap, but luckily wifi in the lobby was free. The location is great,... More

We stayed in the hotel back in October 2014 for our honeymoon. When we checked in they instantly looked to see if they could upgrade us to a bigger room, which they did and they threw in free wifi as well - an excellent surprise. We were also surprised the following night with a free bottle of fizz - which... More

My boyfriend and I booked a 5 night city-break in NYC so I have to say minimal time was spent in the hotel but for what you pay it is the PERFECT location near to all the main tourist sights! Booked through Virgin as trust their choice of hotels. Room was lovely - we were on the 16th floor so... More

I've stayed at many W Hotels and overall love the brand. This hotel-- pros: great location for touring around nyc (close enough to walk to grand central station, 5th ave shopping, rockefeller, central park), spacious & nicely decorated lobby/bar/living room area. Cons: one of the smallest and plainest W hotel rooms I've stayed in, no free coffee station in the... More

Hello Cmusalsa, Thank you for posting about your stay. I’m glad to hear that you liked our renovation in the Living Room and Oasis Lounge! The Living Room is certainly the place in the hotel to see and be seen. I’m sorry, however, for your disappointment with the size and décor of your guestroom. I wish we had been able... More

Wish I could have given it a better rating We had a suite and was disappointed to find - No tea or coffee facilities - in the cold weather and staying a week this is the minimum comfort one would expect One small bottle of comp water only occasionally - not daily - the aircon does make you thirsty so... We had a great New Years mini break in New York and enjoyed our stay at the W. We upgraded our room on arrival and appreciated the extra space, i imagine the smaller rooms are tiny. Bathroom was a bit dated and we didn't have a shower curtain for a couple of nights but otherwise it was fine. Usual gripe... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
