First of all, the location was wonderful, can't complain a bit about that. We arrived in early at around noon and were told we'd be able to get into a room by 1:30-2:00. We came back at 2:30 with still no room available. At this point, they asked if we'd be willing to be in a smoking room while admitting... More

While on vacation, we were looking for a nice, fun hotel for a good price in a great location, and The Time was everything we wanted. Our blue room had a lovely view, and was very comfortable. We loved the fun decor and had no complaints about the furnishings. Staff was friendly and courteous. Location can't be beat, with Times... More

Our stay at The Time Hotel was magnificent. Located just a few blocks from Times Square it was so easy for us to get around. We walked to Times Square from the hotel and it was marvelous. The staff was so professional and provided exceptional customer services. They didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile. We also loved the design... More

My husband and I just spent the night at the Time and had a very good stay. We took the suggestion of other reviewers and stayed above the 4th floor to avoid the noise of the 2nd floor lounge, our room on the 6th floor was very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are small but stylish, and well stocked with... More

Stayed in the Time for five nights and six days. We stayed in a room with two doubles, I thought the size was good enough. My sister and I loved the yellow theme of the room and off course the molten brown toiletries! Definately a plus! The housekeeping was excellent, the rooms were kept really clean. The downside of this... More

What a difference between our stay at The Time in New York two years ago and our stay last week. In 2003, this was a stylish concept hotel. There was a high-energy vibe going with the sleek interiors, the time-oriented decor, and the fun color-centered rooms. The funky and highly functional rooms made one overlook how small they are. We... More

Given the reviews that this hotel receives in the guide books, I was most disappointed. It is highly overrated. First, the hotel is worn, and the lobby seating and the rooms are shabby. It should not have been allowed to get this way. (You could at least replace the two worn chairs in the reception area--which leave a lasting bad... More

I stayed here a few years ago and loved it. However, it seems to be runned down a bit now. The lobby and the rooms need to renovate...the lounge has lost it following...and staff have lost their youthful appearance. No wonder way my rate was low!

We were first timers to NYC so I'm not sure what is the norm for room size but in saying that although the rooms were quite stylish I did find them rather on the smallish size. The elevators are definitely quite small but this did not cause us any issues. When we checked in at 10pm it was nearly impossible... More

I spent two nights at The Time with a friend on a pleasure trip. We were a little apprehensive, having read some pretty negative reviews, but those fears vanished as soon as we arrived. We were greeted cheerfully upon our arrival, and since our room was not yet ready for us (we arrived at noon and checkin is 3pm), they... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
