We were informed that the room was NOT available upon arriving.. so they moved us to a sister hotel called 'dream' (supposely much higher class than the TIME, but i really didnt see the big deal). The manager was very helpful and assistant about the whole situation until we were transported back to TIME. Overall quality of the hotel is... More

Dirty. Tiny. Worn. Just some of the kinder things I have to say about The Time. I was not able to check in until almost 4:00 pm (3:00 pm check in). The suite I had reserved made me jealous for the spaciousness of my college dorm room from years ago. Of course, my college dorm room had fewer cigarette burns,... More

Stayed four nights over New Year. Having read reviews on the website I was sceptical about The Time and my initial concerns were correct - the first impression was that my 9th floor room was extremely small, not just by USA standards but by any standards. It was dark, tired and worn. the sink was falling off thew wall and... More

Traveling with a group & staying most of last week at the Crowne Plaza, we couldn't get a reservation there the last night & moved to the nearby Time. Based on the very mixed reviews, I was expecting trouble. HOWEVER, I was plesantly surprised at the comfortable room & incredible location. The hotel has a strong European feel, so Americans... When we arrived December 17 for a three night stay we were told that the hotel had overbooked and that they did not have a room for us. It was well after midnight, we were exhausted, and definitely not in the mood for a problem with our accomodations. The night manager had the doorman put us into a cab, paid... More

We were put in a room on the third floor when we arrived after being told that the lift was out of order and that it would be better to be on a lower floor. The music in the lobby (second floor) was very loud and we asked if the room would be affected, the reception manager said no. We... More

I stayed at the Time the week on November 22 and had a great time. The staff at the Front Desk were extremely friendly and took time to point out the important details that would be helpful during my stay. I had a few hiccups during my stay but the front desk management was quick in response to the matter.... More

Stayed for three nights in November. Get over the broken elevator - if you want to stay right on Times Square, close to the subways, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, and more great resatuarants than you could ever hope to enjoy, this is your place. A quiet enclave in the heart of the city that never sleeps. The color themed rooms are... More

Stayed for one night last week in a 12th floor suite. Not great: Due to low ceilings, the first impression is that the room seemed very small. Also, the room was dark, even with all the lights on. The carpet, furniture, paint, etc. was tired and worn. Bathroom is small (one person at a time please!). One of the elevators... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
