For the past two years, I have been fortunate enough to visit the Mark on at least 8 occasions. I am familiar not only with the residences at the Mark, but also the hotel and the hotel services. Having stayed at many wonderful hotels in the states and abroad, I can honestly say - there are few that do it... More

We just left this hotel and I felt compelled to write a review. From the minute we stepped out of the car the entire staff made us feel special and very welcomed. We had my four year old with us and they all talked to him and treated him great! Even though it was our first time there they treated... More

We have stayed her five times over the last few years. We like the location. Sadly, it has gotten progressively worse. This time we booked several months in advance, having had twins that would be 4.5 months old upon arrival. I called and let them know I needed a room that could accommodate my wife and I, two cribs and... More

I would like to take a moment to express my sincerest apologies for the multiple inconveniences that occurred on your most recent visit to The Mark. As a guest that has stayed with us on various occasions over the past few years, it is disconcerting to hear feedback such as this. While we value each of our guests in a... More

Stayed at The Mark for the first time this April and it was a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful and the bathroom downright gorgeous and I found the service to be excellent. The service is why I am writing this review, the staff was friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome every time I walked into the lobby... More

We were very excited to come back to the Mark on Upper East side. We had a great time 18 months ago so decided to come back with our friends. On arrival we were greeted with welcome back we have all your details on file - a great start. But then it went downwards. The room was at the back... More

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere apologies for the less than satisfactory experience that you had on your second stay at The Mark. I am very disappointed that you did not depart the hotel in the same spirit as your first visit. It is unfortunate to hear that you were displeased with the quiet townhouse... More

I stayed there on a brief visit. The service was excellent, the front desk being particularly helpful. The room was quiet and well appointed. The hotel's restaurant is well worth a visit - one of the upper East Side's best; smart and chic and very popular .

After reading so many reviews on which hotel to choose for my weekend in New York, I picked the Mark after a friends recommendation and what I read about the hotel. I was v excited to come try this hotel, however I wasn't very impressed. As a fellow reviewer stated there was no 'omph'. First the staff were all very... More

My husband and I visited for one night for a "staycation" without our young child just before valentine's day. The location is wonderful and very convenient, and while our room was nice, there wasn't anything particularly unique about it. (The bathroom was great however!) We had a room overlooking the back of the hotel, but there wasn't anything special about... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your family’s experience at The Mark. Feedback such as... More

Upon arrival, you are definitely going to feel VIP. Staff is very kind and helpful. Beautiful decor. We stayed on 5th floor facing Madison Avenue. Beautiful rooms, however, the windows lack any noise blockage. We heard EVERYTHING from the 5th floor. Other than that ONE negative, Central Park half a block away, great shopping near by, overall, great location. Definitely... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
