The Mark is beautiful and convenient. The service and amenities are very good, and the restaurant excellent. The Mark is a convenient place to meet for business meals in NY. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Appreciated the complementary choice of newspaper, available shoe shine, etc.-- like the old days of travel.

Stayed at the Mark, close to my daughter who is here for college. Room is nice a bit pricey but I have been told room is Bigfoot the prices in New York, we had a nice experience at the Mark restaurant slash bar kept if open for us to sit and enjoy our cocktails. Hospitality was exceptional!

The service was superior and the hotel staff was attentive and so professional, the lobby interior and rooms were absolutely gorgeous and the food at the Mark Restaurant was superb - I LOVE the little cocoa kiosk outside - genius idea!. Traveled to New York on business, The Mark made this weary traveler feel comfortable and right at home. The service was impeccable and the staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Not to mention the rooms, as well as the hotel itself was beautiful. I see myself staying at this hotel for all of my trips to NYC, business or pleasure.

I have stayed at the The Mark many times and the experience is wonderful and the bathroom which I believe is standard has separate tub and shower and the tub is great. Location is fabulous. The rooms are so so clean and quiet which is important in New York. Lovely and Devine service.

The hotel is immaculate, the front desk/concierge friendly, helpful, and professional The room was clean, quiet, with excellent bathroom The location was perfect for me, as I was visiting an office in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is quiet, which is what I wanted. Best in room dining service I have had anywhere in the world.

The hotel was great; location, rooms, cleanliness, the room service food and the breakfast was really good ( they have a MUST taste hot chocolate). The staff was friendly but not ALL of them some had some issues. The problem that I faced was with the money they took from me 3 times the cost of my stay and they... More

Thank you for your review. While I am pleased you had such a wonderful experience at The Mark, I would however like to take a moment to clarify the transactions you are noticing on your credit card. It is a standard authorization process for hotels in New York City to charge room, tax and 30% in case of incidentals, which... More

Room was well appointed. Bathroom was very large, with double sinks. Great service and felt welcome. Highly recommended to anyone looking to stay on the Upper East Side. Steps away from Madison Ave and Central Park.

The whole experience of our stay at The Mark was just amazing, the location, the friendliness of all the staff (especially the concierge), the luxury of the room! Bottom line: One of the best luxury hotels we've ever stayed at, and the best area in NYC!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
