Just finished travelling round the States with the family for several weeks. This was the lasts hotel we stayed in and definitely the best. Great location, staff very kind to us and the kids and the restaurant is very good too. No hesitation in recommending it.

The staff was wonderful. They made us feel right at home. The desk staff upgraded our room to a suite because our room wasn't ready at check-in. I will definitely return. The location is perfect. I can't comment on the restaurants - we never had a meal there, but there is always next time!

Faultless Hotel. We loved everything about it. Sure, its not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Bedrooms, Linens, Service all exemplary. We would return to this Hotel next time we are in NY. Location was good too, just a block from Central Park and in a classy and expensive part of town

I was looking for a quiet oasis during my husband's recent hip surgery, and found that and more at The Mark. This hotel exemplifies all the best things about understated luxury. There's a first-class staff, over-sized rooms with sumptuous beds, gorgeous art deco style bathrooms with powerful showers, and a very good restaurant ( Jean Georges) on site. The location... More

Our room was spacious and quiet and the automatic shutters worked well.Water pressure in the shower and bath tub was amazingly strong. The bed was comfortable and the bed linens were top quality. We did not try the restaurant other than breakfast since the menu looked uninteresting when you compare it to the top flight restaurants in New York City.... More

We loved the Mark - we were there for only two nights however. The room was super super quiet (we booked a courtyard King) and despite being pretty well the lowest category was plenty big enough with a gorgeous comfy bed and huge bathroom with tub, walk in shower etc. The place is very well managed and service is great... True elegance, exemplary staff, stunning accommodations, the coolest decor, luscious bedding, luxurious bathrooms, incredible technology within the suite, Fekkai Salon - my hair looked amazing, fitness center - perfect, along with what matters most in real estate - location, location, location resulted in this married couple wishing we could have stayed much much longer! Back to the staff, from the... More

First of all, fabulous location, on Upper East Side, near best shopping, museums, & restaurants in the city. Inside: Beautiful rooms, large, distinctive bathrooms with awesome showers & fab toiletries. Very small lobby, & too small & expensive bar (try +$20/drink).

Great Boutique Hotel. Amazing and comfortable rooms near Expensive Madison Avenue. The service is incredible. They really know how to amuse their guests. The Bar scene is very nice with amazing cocktails. The restaurant as well has exquisite food I must say is worth paying.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
