Larchmont Hotels' location is great!!! In a busy city like NY, it is lovely to exit the hotel onto a relatively quiet street of townhouses, in the wonderful Greenwich Village neighborhood. I saw other hotels in a similar price range, but all opened onto busy noisy streets with honking horns and crowded sidewalks. Front desk staff are excellent! I can't... More

last trip we had a room on the top floor with great views over Greenwich Village and the new buildings at ground zero in the distance. Everything you need is nearby, including Blue note Jazz club and the Village vanguard and not to forget Smalls Jazz Club. Many good eating options in the nearby West Village. The Bitter End is... I stayed 4 nights at the Larchmont Hotel in and found it to be an adequate, no-frills, clean experience. I was on 3rd floor in the back of the building with a non-street window, and found it to be very quiet, in fact I only saw another guest on my floor once and never had to wait to get into... More

this is a basic hotel, decent room and bathrooms, great location but near a fire station that had fire calls several times during each night I stayed, the room next to me ( 5W2 ) had their TV on the highest volume and you could hear even in the shower in the bathroom down the hall. 3 calls to management... A great find for those who want a well run clean intimate hotel for a great price in Greenwitch village New York .Centrallly located between the theatre district and the world trade centre we found this place to our liking in a city where good cheap accomodation is hard to find.

When we arrived I must admit I was a bit putt off by the very old wear and tare of this hotel.....tiny ok'd looking rooms and shared shower and toilet that looked like it was struggling since the Victorian era....but it didn't take long to realise how this ok'd hotel with its little old rooms had EVERYTHING a traveller needed,... Location - location - location. This hotel is situated on a lovely street filled with brownstones and trees and very close to restaurants and attractions. The rooms are very basic and not updated at all. They are also small for the average hotel but average for a NYC hotel. My room had everything I needed - a desk & chair,... More

Excelent prices, clean and efficient staff. That's all you need in NYC. Would stay again. I chose the queen room with shared bathroom, and the bathrooms were always cleaned. I didn't have problem with noites, only the air conditiong was noisy and old. I recomend this hotel.

Had my family members stay here several times. Never heard something negative. Hotel is conveniently close to Washington square park and Union Square. The hotel is situated in a relative quiet street. The hotel also houses a few "permanent" residents. These guests stay here while their house is being renovated for instance. It is a good sign that people choose... More

I've stayed here twice - in July of 2012 and April of 2013 - and it's not entirely unlikely that I'll stay here again. Both times I chose the smallest and least expensive single room available, and though exceptionally small, for a single traveler such as myself, in a city like NY where you spend virtually no time at all... Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
