The room was clean but very small. Hardly room to move around a queen-sized bed. The hot water tap was in fact a tepid water tap. The room was hot due to hot water pipes running down the wall of the bathroom. Wi-fi costs extra, and is enabled for a maximum of 2 devices. There is a hotel safe for... More

Stayed here for eight days in November and the location is fantastic. Plenty of amenities nearby and central park was also very close. The diner next door is very handy for breakfast etc and had a good atmosphere. Good coffee also nearby. The hotel itself has some pros and cons. Pros are that the rooms are cleaned very well and... Thank you for your review of our property and I have always believed that the key to a hotel is the Housekeeping department and I am pleased that all reviews rave about this. I will bring up your comment about the corkscrew in our next staff meeting as it may be a great idea to carry some here. As we... More

I enjoyed my stay at the newton Hotel in New York City. It was well located in terms of my needs while in NY. I could access Times square easily and other exciting paces. I could walk to the location of my meeting - the weather was superb! The reception is very friendly and the place is clean and quiet.

we spent six nights here with teens. The location was so good - we could easily get uptown to Times Square, fifth avenue etc and it was fine coming and going after dark. Heaps of choices around for breakfast and dinner. Manhattan diner downstairs was a favourite. Check out taj bagels down the street too.

We just stayed there for 18 nights. The location is great with subway just accross the street with 3 lines going downtown. The staff is really friendly, the rooms are clean. We enjoyed our stay. We has read on other reviews that elevator can be very long and I confirm it is but it's not so important when you are... More

My daughter and I were finishing a 2 week holiday with 3 days in NYC. I found this hotel and felt that it offered all that we required. No - it's not a 5* luxury hotel so if that's what you want then you will need to spend 'big bucks'. However, it had a real 'retro' feel and I liked... More

I like this Hotel, I was coming from CA. My Sister from Florida to a family reunion ,found the Newton on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed, The only thing to remember that N.Y.C. never sleeps, My Sister arrived the day before me and we had booked a lower level room in the Front, after the first night my Sister... Nice hotel, good location just opposite subway BUT the room we were in was the smallest I have ever been in. We had to move sideways to get round the bed. We were also next to a communal bathroom so I assume some of the rooms were. to en suite. At a out 5.00 am people started having showers and... More

This is a typical 'budget' hotel for Manhattan. It's dated, small, and has a musty smell in the hallways. Although the bathroom was recently and nicely renovated, the shower power was so strong there was no way to keep the water from pouring out onto the floor and covering half of it. I now understand why they have 6 -... More

Thank you for your review and I apologize if the stay was not as expected. I do however have to point out some points that you have made about the rooms. We give extra towels to our guests because we find that if we only give two, our guests have to then call and ask for more so we decided... More
