Spent two nights at the Hotel Newton. Wonderful staff, nicely furnished room with frig and microwave. Everything so clean it sparkled. Hotel is a little off the beaten path at Broadway and 94 St. but only 15 minutes by subway from midtown and a 10 minute walk from both Central and Riverside Parks. Inexpensive by NYC standards, stay there you... More

A great hotel. Nice room, clean, good heating, nice staff. They store the luggage before and after the check-in and check-out times. Nice location, subway express lines 2-3 (and local 1) stops at 96th, so it is easy to go to some specific stations, like Times Square and Penn Station, in a few minutes. Nice restaurants and market nearby.

My room is incredibly tiny, dirty, smelly and noisy. It would be overpriced at half the current rate. At this price (including the $7 daily internet fee and no food available in the building at all) it is appalling. Avoid at all costs.

Thank you for reviewing our property and we are sorry your stay was not a success. However, I wanted to comment about it a bit, more for prospective guests as every guest is able to voice their opinions regarding their stay without fault. One issue that I notice is the dirty comment as our prospective can clearly see that we... More

We needed a hotel on the Upper West Side and didn't want to spend a fortune. Hotel Newton was a great find. We got a junior suite with private bath. The bathroom was small but the room was spacious and clean (and had a mini-frig and microwave), the front desk staff was very helpful, and the price was unbeatable for... More

Difficult to find parking, although site says reservations not required.parked blocks away. No on site food/ beverage ,have to walk somewhere for coffee. Addition $5.00 fee for WiFi,but can connect for free ,without the charge from a neighboring hotel.close to subway

Thank you for your review and I am happy all seemed to go well. On your next visit, please try our room service menu in the room for the Manhattan Café located directly next door to us. They deliver breakfast, lunch and dinner to our guests from 5am to 1am. We may want to advertise this on a larger basis... More

Very well situated, near to subway and also close to the stop for the hop-on hop-off bus. No restaurant but good one next door. Our room was the smallest hotel room we have ever had, and a small bathroom. Unfortunately early on our third night we had water coming through our bathroom ceiling, but we were moved to another room,... More

thank you so much for your review and in the future , please look at our Superior Queen brand of room or Deluxe Queen rooms as they are oversized. Thank you for understanding of our leak situation. We had a student situation above you where they left their water running. We hope to see you again Emilio Morales Jr. Director... More

Probably a good choice if you're visiting the Upper West Side - it's clean, no bugs, rooms for a NYC hotel are a fairly good size (we had a suite, with 2 double beds and a private bath). It's an older property with one small elevator. We had a car and parked around the corner for $25 for the night.... More

Although this hotel is halfway up Broadway it is still the perfect place to stay while visiting NYC. With the 96th street subway station nearby you are only 10 minutes away from Lower Manhattan. Rooms are clean, well maintained and they have a microwave, fridge and a reasonably large TV. Can one ask for more? Staff is friendly, polite and... More

Hotel standard ok, the place is clean and everything was working fine. The location is good, near the subway and Central Park. It has no restaurant so you'll have to eat somewhere else but hey, it's N.Y. and there are thousands of places where you can by food and actually some quite ok just near by. One of them is... More

Lovely rooms. Excellent water pressure in the showers - and I had the chance to use the showers in two separate rooms on two separate floors. Bathrooms are very clean, great gravity flush toilets - they seemed relatively new for an old hotel. Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping the rooms and hotel clean. My room was cleaned every morning... More

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay. I am pleased that all was a success. I will definitely bring up your comments about the limited computer time in the lobby as it is a great idea. The business center in the lobby is maintained by an outside company however, it is a useful idea to bring up and I... More
