We stayed here for 2 nights on a holiday to New York, and we didn't plan on spending much time in the hotel which was probably a good thing. We arrived very late at night and were met by 2 receptionists who seemed inconvenienced by our arrival. We checked in and went to our room which was stifling, no air... More

Our family of four stayed for four nights in the junior suite. We were very pleased given the price we payed. As other reviews state, it's certainly not a luxury hotel. But it was very clean and spacious. The jr suite had a good size room with two double (maybe queen) beds, a desk and a dresser. There was a... More

For a recent NYC vacation we were looking for a Manhattan hotel in the $200/night range. Also was looking for a hotel close to the subway. Hotel Newton was a great choice. The #3 express train stops at the 96th Street location, making for quicker subway rides to most of Manhattan. The hotel is on Broadway Street, so there are... More

The hotel is really well located uptown in Manhattan and is close to the subway and nice restaurants around. When we booked we didn't realize about the shared bathroom assuming that you will never have to share the bathroom in Hotel. So we felt like in a type of bed and breakfast hostal which pretty much ruined or stay in... More

for a one night stay, en route to Seattle, after landing in JFK, it was a good break for us to unpack and sort out, after a long journey. The hotel was comfortable, the queen sized bed in superior room is the one to ask for, as the shared bathroom though less by some dollars is not worth it. The... More

This is not a luxury hotel, but it is welcoming friendly, comfortable and well situated. Room was small, but had everything we needed, including a microwave and refrigerator. It was close to the subway, and to Central Park. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Such a convenient location and not far from the subway. Just 5 minutes walk. Reasonable and affordable price. The room is clean and staffs are very kind. A staff helped me carry our heavy luggages. Thank you very much! Besides, my friends and I can store the luggages even though we already checked out. I do recommend this hotel anyways.

Stayed at the Newton twice in 2014 and hoping to get back for Christmas 2015, excellent Hotel for the price. Rooms were very clean, mine had a fridge and microwave in it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not far from Central park and 96th st Subway is just across the road. Manhattan Diner next door serves good food at... More

We just returned from a four night stay at Hotel Newton. The room was clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location had excellent access to the 96th street subway. The price was great (we were a little apprehensive with such an affordable find). If you are looking for the lap of luxury, go elsewhere and spend 4... More

Very convenient location. Just across the street from the subway, a 5 min walk from the river and less than 10 to the Park. Hotel staff were always great and very friendly. Rooms were small but very clean, with a mini fridge and microwave in it. The only reason I would think twice about staying there again because there are... More
