Our room was much bigger than a hotel room, and furnished in a country-comfortable way. The location could not be better. If you'd like to get the feel of how it would be to live on the Upper West Side, this is the place for you. What a find! more

This Inn was excellent - brilliant location, close to Central Park, Museums, Subways, a multitude of restaurants, great markets and shops nearby. Very quiet, almost hidden away, this was a very welcoming oasis in the Big Apple. Lovely spacious bedroom, leather sofa, comfortable QS bed, small well-stocked kitchen, and fresh fruit bowl. Homely knick-nacks about made it feel as though... more

I fell upon this gem, exhausted looking through the mass of choices online. I immediately felt I'd love to stay at this place. On my arrival I was met by the lovely Rob who showed me around my new home for the next few days. and a home it felt like. I stayed in apartment 5, a luxurious, warm, cozy... more

A perfect retreat for a country girl who likes quiet, comfort, cleanliness, and class. This inn had it all. Well thought out amenities with all we needed. The place was very clean, well kept and beautiful. I'd stay there every time I have to come to New York. more

I stumbled on this place on expedia and gave it a shot. It is a very basic apartment that is furnished with character. It gives you the feeling you are living in the place because there are no hotel type services. You are on your own once you check in but it is peaceful and quiet. The location is in... more

After a long day of trying to successfully land into JFK, I felt like I had finally made it home. The other reviews say it best. When you make reservations, you will find Fergus is wonderful to work with. He can offer real insights about the neighborhood and how to get around. Rob is efficient and can help out with... more

The Country Inn the City was clean, comfortable and convenient. The room was large and had a kitchen, and was nicely decorated. Rob met us a little early so we could drop our bags off and was able to give us the information we needed before we were off and running. Zabars and the Museum of Natural History are just... more

For our first trip to NYC, we stayed at Country Inn the City in a beautiful apartment with terrace ( apt 6). Fergus O Brien is very pleasant to deal with. We enjoyed very much our stay in this beautiful bed and breakfast. The apartment was very quiet, and we used quite often the lovely terrace. There are many restaurants... more

We stayed at Country Inn the City for one week and we can't wait to go back! Our room was beautifully furnished. The Inn is quiet, comfortable and in a great location.
