Did a short two-night stay here on a HotelTonight rate. We were visiting my folks in Chinatown, so it was very convenient, but even for others, the location is good as it's one block from the B/D lines, as well as walking distance to other subway lines (on Canal). It's also right on Bowery, so it's pretty easy to jump... More

We chose to stay at this Best Western because of the amenities it offered. Specifically, the free wifi, continental breakfast and fitness center. We were very disappointed with the quality of two of these (wifi and fitness center). The wifi was extremely slow and at times not worth using. This affected some of our planning and left us to utilize... More

I found this BW in NYC is overpriced as any hotel in NYC. For the room rate, this hotel should offer better overall room condition in bedding, carpet, and furniture. The bath room in the handicapped room was old, shower holder bar was loose with one screw came out. Mildew was on most of the sealant in the shower. Night... More

Never have I stayed at such an ugly and depressing hotel. The rooms were like a prison cell, and the furniture from a Goodwill Thrift Shop. The bathroom was linoleum tile which is inviting a broken hip. The Garage parking rate was reasonable. Maybe we should have slepped in the car. How can you recommend such an awful hotel?

The room smelled like dirty armpits and our requests to freshen the air went unanswered. There was high humidity in the room even with the air conditioner on. Despite asking for a quiet room, the noise level from Grand Ave was deafening at night and we couldn't sleep. There was no closet or dresser drawers-- just a beat up small... More

China, Italy and New York, all wrapped in to one place. Go out the door to the right and you are in the middle of NYC's Chinatown, where fresh vegetables sellers and fish mongers, vie for space on the crowded street. If you turn left, you are only a few feet from NYC's little Italy. Know for great restaurants, and... More

From arrival to departure the service we received in this little Hotel was remarkable. We were a little early upon arrival for Check-in yet the staff found us a room and saved us from any waiting time. We discovered pretty quickly that the in room safe was not functioning. We called the front desk and without any exaggeration the repairman... More

This tiny hotel has its reception on an upper floor, so its easy to miss. Right in the heart of China town, close to the subway, plenty of cheap eateries Chinese and Italian, mini-marts and a very cheap Chinese laundry. Just perfect for our needs in NYC. After sightseeing all day, its nice to return to somewhere comfortable, close to... More

Very clean and extremely friendly! We had a blast. It is located where you can walk to a ton of things (Movies in Bryant Park was so cool). The staff became like great acquaintances, as they were full of information. Jay, Bebe and Sade were so cool. With their suggestions we cut down on costs and had an amazing fun... More

A personalized Best Western in Chinatown/Little Italy that gives respite from the hustle bustle of busy Lower East Side. The accommodations are adequate and above average in cleanliness; I stayed here with three adult children in the King suite with microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. The sleeper sofa is separated from the queen sleeping area well enough to give... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
