I visit NYC a lot for family reasons and like to try inexpensive (for NYC) hotels in different neighborhoods. This is the first time I had stayed in or near Chinatown. The area is quite interesting and beyond bustling. Hotel reception is on the second floor; the desk person was pleasant and checkin was trouble free. My room was basic... More

If I did not see a mouse in my room, I could say The Hotel 91 is perfect. When I asked for front desk to solve this problem he came after 10 min with a towel and a plastic bag. While, I was curious how he catch the mouse with this stuff but mouse could escape outside and disappeared. He... More

No frills but comfortable; affordable relative to other Manhattan hotels. Chinatown location unusual and provides a very intimate window into the workings of the city. The lobby was on the second floor and a little inconvenient.

Hotwire found this hotel for me and I was pleasantly surprised! Friendly staff, convenient location, cheap overnight parking nearby, clean, comfortable, affordable, quiet (except for train noise), highly recommended!

The hotel was fine for a weekend... clean, quiet-except for the occasional sound of the subway going by. Convenient location and fun neighborhood. Our room was definitely very small but we were in it only to sleep and shower so who cares.Comfy, clean bed, clean bathroom. I would definitely stay there again and recommend anyone to give it a try. Stop... More

It doesn't have an impressive entrance, it's on the second floor of a building in Chinatown. Upon arrival we were quite disappointed by the smell of Chinatown( first time in New York?) But soon after we got in it is alright, it's a clean budget hotel and as simple as you can expect it to be. Even tho it's near... More

When I travel the only requirements I have for the hotel are that it's clean, good location, and it doesn't drain my budget. That is exactly what Hotel 91 is. The staff was very friendly at check in and helped us navigate to the nearest subway entrance. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It's obvious that... More

By New York standards, our two-queen-bed room was palatial, particularly for the price. The hotel was very quiet, and the staff was kind and courteous. We had some great Asian meals in the neighborhood, plus there's an American-style breakfast/lunch joint called the Cup and Saucer a couple blocks away. The subway stop is a few blocks away but not too... More

Location in Chinatown, markets on the street smelled bad, parking a block and a half away, about $35.00. Ordered dinner and breakfast delivered because I was afraid to walk outside. Not at all what I expected for location after seeing the website. The pictures were beautiful, and I felt completely safe once inside. Nice granite and tile bathroom, comfortable beds.... More

Just returned from a weekend trip to NYC. Family and I stayed at Hotel 91 in Chinatown. I found the hotel a great place to use as a base to explore Chinatown. The hotel is loacted next to the Manhattan Bridge and it's elevated train tracks so train noise might be an issue to some. The front staff was very... More
