Subway station, supermarket, laundry and drugstore right around the corner. Very quiet place. Half an hour from most touristic points by subway (24/7). Did not need taxi even after midnight. You can get there from JFK easily by subway. Owner very helpful and friendly. Simple place but very clean and quite, with everything you need. Other guest often very friendly.... More

For my winter trip to NYC, I booked 5 nights at this place although it is a little far from the city (located in Harlem. It is pretty valued for money (you pay through the nose for accommodations which are not hostels in NYC, even in the dead of winter, since it is a year-long tourist spot..) Location: The inn... More

This is a very nice guest house in Harlem that is extremely convenient to the subway on a quiet little street without any traffic. The houses are hidden away from the rest of the main roads and it felt safe and was a great place to stay overnight. It's not in the heart of the city, so it is calmer... More

I was due stay for a few days in October, but somehow a double booking occured. I didn't get the impression that such things happened often, but was impressed with how the situation was resolved. I had arrived late, so the owner put me up in his own apartment for the night at no charge. The next day, he booked... More

I found the B+B easy to find from the local subway station, it is only 1 minute walk as per Michael's instructions. It's a 20mins subway ride from midtown. I was made to feel at home straight away by Michael and the other guests, beats staying at a faceless 4-star hotel in NYC! The local area has plenty of cafes... More

Hotel is situated in a quite part of Harlem, near by Broadway and Amsterdam Ave. Metro stop is next door, as well as grocery store. We stayed for 5 nights in a double bedroom adjustable for triple orientated to a quiet back yard. Simple, but satisfactory breakfast is served by owner in a dining room. Very friendly and cosmopolitan atmosphere.... More

I was really surprised about how lovely and quiet this street was. We were a little unsure about staying in Harlem but it was a really great place. It is minutes from the subway and you would never think that such a historical and beautiful house and street was in New York. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and... More

I stayed at Michael NY for 4 nights in November 2008 on a visit to New York. I'd stayed a 3 nights in a midrange hotel further downtown, near Central Park, before moving up to Michael's. Have to say Michael's was better value by far and I enjoyed my stayed very much. Everything was clean, a decent breakfast was provided,... More
