We have traveled to a lot of places and have seen a wide variety of accommodations from basic to luxury. I have to say this is our new favorite hotel in all of Manhattan. Not because it is big because it isn't. It has around 80 rooms. Not because it has a famous restaurant, although the restaurant at breakfast was... More

I want to make it very, very clear how much I appreciate the level of service, warmth, coolness, thoughtfulness, and understated luxury that The Greenwich offers. Yes, it costs a very pretty penny, but when in NYC, you just have to accept it and splurge. For pretty much the same cost, you can stay at a corporate disaster in Midtown... More

We have stayed at many hotels in NYC - none of them below 5 star - but we come back here whenever we can. It is such a beautiful place - the rooms (even small ones) are lovely, beautifully designed, super comfy and huge beds (mattress topper, nice linens). And the noise levels are very good (even mega expensive hotels... More

If you like "Once upon a time in America " or wouldn't mind to meet Holywood celebrities regularly at your hotel lift you would probably love this place. We stayed at Greenwich several times as it has comfortable SOHO location. This hotel is just few minutes away from the seaside to enjoy morning run or simply observe Statue of Liberty... More

I don't get it. Was here before thanksgiving and the weather wasn't great which made me annoyed by the location. There really was not a lot around the hotel and it was a long walk or Uber ride to get somewhere with better shopping or street scene. Hotel itself is nice, rooms are nice. Found the staff a little stand... More

Every time we stay at this comfortably elegant hotel we enjoy it more. It is so nice to stay at a hotel and not have to deal with a lobby or bar scene. The drawing room has to be one of the best places to start and end a night in the city. The staff is professional and friendly. The... More

We spent two nights over the New Year holiday at the Greenwich. I loved every minute. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious and really well appointed. The shower and bathing products are perfection. We spent a very long night at the hotel bar with the very charming, Nick from Rhode Island. His charm and professionalism and wicked funny sense of... More

I visit NYC often and this is my first stay at The Greenwich but will certainly not be my last! I was there for 3 days over New Year - a family visit for 10 of us. We had arrived after being at a glitzy up town hotel and were looking forward to some time in Tribeca. A great welcome... More

I have stayed in numerous NYC hotels, mostly 4 and 5 star. This is my favorite. They have everything you can expect. Yes, some may say it's not centrally located but it's an easy walk to a subway and NYC has no shortage of cabs. This hotel has a very NY feel, it is not cookie cutter in any way.... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
