This little boutique hotel is clean, modern and in a great location for exploring. Staff is friendly, helpful and I found they go above and beyond. I stated in small room for one person. The space is tight and there is no way more than one person could be in other--exactly as they state. But it's immaculate, has great bath... More

My wife, our small daughter and I stayed here four nights and had mixed feelings about the place. First the bad: tiny, shabby, possibly cold rooms, no baby cots available, no breakfast, East Houston street is pretty busy and noisy. Then the good stuff: an awesome rooftop terrace, basement lounge with coffee and tea on the house, helpful service, awesome... More

Dear Villes751, Thank you for taking the time to review our property! I'm sorry to hear about some of the cons of your experience. As you have seen, it is true that our rooms don't leave much room for cots, which is why we don't have any on hand. As for the heating, we set all arriving rooms to 72... More

We spent valentines weekend here and it was very nice. The location was perfect for walking although it was bitterly cold so we also used subway and cab. About $12 cab ride from grand central- Room was small but clean and bathroom had tub which I prefer over shower stall. Coffee was free in basement area, nice to get a... More

Dear sarahll0517, Thank you for choosing us for your Valentine's Day stay! It really was a cold night that night. I'm glad you were able to take advantage of the free coffee service to warm up. We also have a great maintenance staff that ensure that each room is well heated during this cold season. Thanks for mentioning what's around... More

We only stayed for the single night, but this was a great spot for us on a brief trip to NYC. The rooms are clean and smart, but they are small. You don't go here to spend a lot of time in your room, but then, why would you go to New York to spend time in your room? That... More

We were referred to this hotel from their sister hotel the VERITE. While at the VERITE Ms. B. J was nice and efficient, the guys at 151 E. Houston were not. The guy at the reception had an attitude talking to us as if we come for a job interview, he was uninformed insisted we did not know what we... More

Dear Mr. Yair E, Thank you for taking the time to respond to your experience at Hotel East Houston. I do recall the incident and am regretful of the outcome. A part of the root was a simple misunderstanding that created an unnecessary escalation of emotions that was unprofessional on the part of Allen. I have since spoken to him... More

I first looked into this place as it was one of the closest hotels to the Mercury Lounge which I was seeing a friends band play that night. I read the reviews and saw some pics and knew the rooms were going to be very small. They were indeed but room was very clean and comfortable to sleep in. All... More

We have enjoyed our stay at East Houston. The room was tidy and clean, with a very nice shower. Moreover, we have encountered very kind and hospitable staff. Additionally the location is great! The location in the not so crowded but very nice Lower East Village made that all the restaurants and bars of China town, Little Italy, the SoHo... More

We booked this hotel for 4 nights in NYC. The room was small (but aren't they all in NYC!) but clean and pleasant. We had a fabulous view across to the Empire State and there was a lovely roof terrace. Great, easy location and fabulous restaurants nearby. A slightly odd glass screen to the bathroom and the viewport in the... More

A quality small hotel within easy walking distance of NYU and Village. Reasonably priced, but not "budget" because the hotel has nice design features in lobby and rooms. Front desk staff was uniformly top notch. Roof top deck is nice feature with great views, if you can avoid the smokers. Room is very small (which you should expect in NYC... More
