When a person travels and stays in small towns across the USA, this is the typical motel you'll stay at. To its credit, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were decent. The shower worked well and the hot water came on right away. The free wi-fi came in handy. Very important things. The down sides: There were no outlets... more

My girlfriend and I were going to celebrate her birthday, She got sick with the H1N1 virus. Super 8 refused to cancle our reservation and still wanted to charge us 100% of our bill. My family and I will not ever use these branch of hotels again. more

Stayed there with familys. We had 4 rooms total, all supposedly Non-Smoking. The two on the fist floor smelled heavily of smoke, the 2 on the 3rd floor reeked of smoke. If you have problems with smoke I would advise a diffrent hotel. Price was reasonalble and staff was friendly. more

We stayed at this motel one night because our plans to camp were spoiled by the weather. We chose this hotel because of the cheap rate, friendly front desk staff and location near the Carlsbad Caverns. In hindsight this was a huge mistake that we are still paying for. We suspect that our room, and likely the entire motel, has... more

The room was okay and so was the maid service. The hotel even has a computer in the lobby for the guests to use. My problem here was with the continental breakfast. The owner of this place is from India and he apparently adheres to the cleanliness standards of the Bombay Health Department. I have never seen a more unclean... more

Early bird special (< 5PM) was $54 for a single (goes up to $64 after 5). Room was clean and comfortable, with mini-fridge and microwave. Was in the last group of 5 or 6 hotels on the southern edge of Carlsbad - great for jumping off on a visit to Carlsbad Caverns. (I visually confirmed, that I did *NOT* want... more

The place did reek of curry, not entirely unpleasant at first, if you like Indian cuisine, but after awhile it gets a little annoying. We only stayed the one night, so no big deal. The little pool was nice enough, we had it to ourselves. We were in the pool later than the posted time allowed, but we were quiet... more

I reserved a room based on TripAdvisor reviews. When we arrived, the room we were given (room 222) had no sheets on the bed. I called to report that and was told we'd get a different room assigned. When I got to the desk to swap keys, the receptionist told me that room wasn't supposed to be rented out because... more

I stayed here in April 2009. The motel is run by some nice Indian couple (from India). The price was about $55.00 per person. The room was nice, good cable tv, and a good internet connection. The pool was closed though. The motel is about a 1/2 hour drive from Carlsbad Caverns. I would say that if you are going... more
