We stay in about 50 motels in the US every summer, we like clean rooms and we are not picky so most of my reviews are 5 stars because we don't expect Hilton quality at budget motel prices. However, every so often we end up in one like this, despite checking reviews, because I reserve in February for July and... More

We stayed here due to its proximity to Carlsbad Caverns.I guess the room was updated, but it was hard for me to determine. The bathroom floor was filthy. I discovered this when I wiped some water that was spilled. The double queen room was kind of small. One good thing was we were able to get a first room floor... More

The Front Desk women clerk, Dorothy(with the beautiful opal jewelry)was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Room was very clean, smelled good and newly remodeled. Motel was full but quiet and had a good night sleep. A little more pricey than other Motel 6, maybe with the area by Nat. Park Caverns and all the workers staying there too. wifi worked... More

Stayed here while visiting Carlsbad Caverns. This motel is old and worn. The room we had was small but with a king-sized bed. The shower unit was pretty worn with brown marks on the edge that looked like cigarette burns. The vanity is outside of the bathroom and it was the only thing that looked newer. The faucet was reversed... More

Well I know you get what you pay for, but for whatever reason lodging even in February is pricey and this was the most affordable option I found for about $70 a night. The person at the front desk was friendly, which was good being that I later had to ask to borrow an iron as irons and hair dryers... More

Stayed at the Carlsbad Motel 6 for one night with my family in November 2013. We did not expect much, and we got even less. Loved the cockroach! The motel is located just off the main highway, and is about a 30 minute drive to the Carlsbad Caverns. A short drive from the motel you’ll find restaurants, and shopping. There... More

I went with friends to visit the Caverns. We arrived in the late afternoon in Carlsbad and decided to sleep at Motel 6 after checked the prices of various motels (as other reviewers said, Carlsbad is expensive). The staff was very friendly, the room was basic but the beds were confortable. Free internet. If you don't care to have extra... More

I met some cousins in Carlsbad, as they had never been to the caverns. I've been here several times, in past winters and things were quiet and cheap, not so anymore, due to the oil boom. I booked this motel, because I didn't want to spend $150 a night[paid $54+ tax]. when you go to a motel 6, you aren't... More

So you need to know that I am a bit of a snob about hotels (but only a bit). We usually try to stay in at least 3 star places, but this time we were with family who needed a less expensive alternative and we didn't want to split up. For some reason the hotels in Carlsbad are unusually expensive... More
