In Carlsbad, it's really difficult to find a good hotel at a good price. We liked the price at this one and decided to try it, even though it didn't look too great. And it wasn't. At night, we heard noise from the parking lot and adjacent rooms. The shower is a weird shortened shower that reminded me of camps;... More

The room was nice and large, had a fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The hot water in the tub was only luke warm the first night so we had to call and have maintenance come tinker with it for a while to get hot water. I don't like hot water, but it was a bit cool for me. I guess... More

Good hotel w nicely furnished rooms & full breakfast. Easy drive to Carlsbad Caverns. Nice pool w palms & landscaping. Plus: coin laundry on premises. Only con is that it is near road & there are many truckers who stay. Can be a bit noisy. However, we were never bothered w noise at night.

Good location for visiting Carslbad Caverns. On the south end of town so not much traffic to deal with on the way to the caverns(about 15 minutes away) .Hotel was fine, nothing exceptional. Nice breakfast.

Our room was so dirty our toddlers legs and feet turned black within minutes. We couldn't let him play on the rug for the rest of our stay. There was no hot water and when we complained the issue was not taken care of.

The GWRRA NM District leaders chose this hotel as the host hotel for its 2014 Rally. The hotel is very large with adequate parking. I wouldn't be surprised if our group staying here was over a hundred people. This is a oil boom town at this time and we were happy to find reasonable lodging. We were a little concerned... More

It looks like this hotel facilitates a lot of elderly local events. The breakfast is not good. The room is barely passable for clean, and it smells of bug spray. I had planned to stay here to attend some events at the Carlsbad Caverns. I would recommend staying somewhere else.

This hotel is an embarrassment to the Best Western franchise and to hotel industry. I asked for a suite and was told that I could not reserve a suite in the phone. I must arrive early to see if I could get one. Suites are on first-come-first-serve bases. Yet, my reservation papers indicated a room reserved for a suite... Like... More

We were visiting the cavaran and needed a room in the area. Based on our Best Western experience, we choose this property in spite of what we thought was a high price. The property was large, and while our room was clean and functional, it had a strange layout with a funky kitchenette. We were there on a Sat. night,... More

Stayed one night on a road trip with the dogs. I had no trouble checking in and no problem with the dogs staying. Room was clean and decent. I was amazed how much parking there was. You were always able to park 1 to 2 parking spaces away from your door without a problem.
