This is quite a hotel on the main strip in Carlsbad. The building is an old bank that has been reinvented as a hotel. The hotel has grand styling and our room (201) was large with an incredible bathroom. The room was very comfortable and we were sorry to have it for only one night. This was quite a divergence... We recently stayed at the Trinity for a second time when we went back to Carlsbad this summer to visit the caves. We can't say enough good things about the hotel, the staff, and the restaurant. The room (201) was absolutely beautiful. Check out the photo on the website. It's better in person, but the photo helps. The staff was... More

Stayed at The Trinity July 21, 2014. Great find. Their NM wine tasting was fun and enlightening. Mario was knowledgeable and friendly, and did a great job leading us through the wine tasting. Donna was our server for dinner and proved to be great in all respects. Our room was delightful. For those who have not been there, parking is... More

While planning a one night stay in Carlsbad we noticed one common denominator in all equations to finding a place to stay, everything was quite expensive. With such a discovery we expanded our search to something outside of motels named after a number and found the Trinity Hotel. What a gem and our room fell right in line with those... More

A friend and I spent two nights at the Trinity Hotel after a business trip to Albuquerque. The hotel is a magnificent building, with lovely décor and beautiful furnishings. Our room was particularly spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. We stayed in room 206 which had a Jacuzzi tub and a separate room (the vault) which could be closed off and used... More

Historic building with updated, modern rooms and amenities. Restaurant served yummy New Mexican breakfast and provided excellent server attention. We'll be sure to come again when we visit Carlsbad Caverns!

High end rooms, linens and toiletries. Very comfortable bed. We really liked the ceiling fan. Our room (205) was very quiet. Excellent coffee and pastries. Breakfast was not to my liking because the potatoes and omelet were too spicy...chili powder in hash browns and the omelet? I think not. I was told later that there was a new morning cook... More

My husband and I stayed here while he was working out of town and we were amazed at the history and beauty of this place. The food was very good and priced reasonably. The rooms are very nice and there is a little bit of history shared throughout the hotel. This is a must stay and I have recommended it... More

Each room is completely different. The first room we were booked in had a King size bed, and seemed to be a handicapped design room- was not anything 'more' than a standard small hotel room with nice linens. One chair to sit, 1 small sink, noise could be heard through bathroom wall a bit at night, a nice shower, but... More
