This boutique hotel is, hands down, the best place in town. Carlsbad hotels are expensive, and most of them date back to the 60s. Some have been renovated, but none compare to The Trinity. It is a beautiful hotel in an old bank building dating back to the 1800s. The owners have vineyards as well, and have incorporated wine tastings... More

On our long trip across the U.S., I booked the hotel several months in advance. We sailed through Carlsbad Caverns and arrived early afterooon, too soon to check in. We toured the town which took about 15 minutes. There really is nothing there except a nice little antique shop. We stopped in and asked the sweet hotel desk clerk if... More

This hotel, located in an historic building is replete with high ceilings, huge windows and great crown molding. The rooms themselves have been updated to include modern amenities and are very spacious. The location, however, combined with the lack of soundproofing, leaves anyone in a street side room (us!) crying for the very loud traffic to stop at 3 a.m.... More

Beautiful hotel in the old First National Bank building built in 1892. We went to the bar for the free wine tasting in the evening. We then had a very nice dinner. All of the staff were very friendly and most helpful. The room (101) was very nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here a few years ago, and returned recently to find the same luxurious accommodations. The location is good, on a main highway but traffic noise was not a problem, with off-street parking in back. The historic hotel is lovely, with high ceilings, lots of period details, and huge rooms with bathrooms that are amazing--almost as big as the... More

The Trinity Hotel is in a National Historic Landmark Building, the oldest building in Carlsbad, and therefore, each of the 9 rooms is unique. You reserve a specific room on the website. I have stayed at this hotel over 20 nights this year and have stayed in 4 rooms and been in four others. The best part is the exceptional... More

This is quite a hotel on the main strip in Carlsbad. The building is an old bank that has been reinvented as a hotel. The hotel has grand styling and our room (201) was large with an incredible bathroom. The room was very comfortable and we were sorry to have it for only one night. This was quite a divergence... We recently stayed at the Trinity for a second time when we went back to Carlsbad this summer to visit the caves. We can't say enough good things about the hotel, the staff, and the restaurant. The room (201) was absolutely beautiful. Check out the photo on the website. It's better in person, but the photo helps. The staff was... More

Stayed at The Trinity July 21, 2014. Great find. Their NM wine tasting was fun and enlightening. Mario was knowledgeable and friendly, and did a great job leading us through the wine tasting. Donna was our server for dinner and proved to be great in all respects. Our room was delightful. For those who have not been there, parking is... More
