We stayed in the Safe Room and we were very pleased. Great staff and very attentive. There are a couple negatives though. No thermostat in our room, which they said was a historical society choice. The second floor is actually the 3rd floor if you count the steps, ok for us, but could be a problem for some people. The... More

In early November 2014, I was a return guest at The Trinity hotel. I am a female that frequently travels alone for work purposes. On this occasion, I had a female colleague accompanying me and we stayed together in Room #207. The next morning, we checked out at 8 am. At 10 am, I began receiving multiple calls from the... More

As owners of the Trinity we were very dissapointed with the experience you had after your most recent visit with us. The young lady who called you misrepresented herself as management and in fact she did not notify anyone but you of the "incident". She is no longer with us. The gentleman in question was trying to surprise his wife... More

This boutique hotel is, hands down, the best place in town. Carlsbad hotels are expensive, and most of them date back to the 60s. Some have been renovated, but none compare to The Trinity. It is a beautiful hotel in an old bank building dating back to the 1800s. The owners have vineyards as well, and have incorporated wine tastings... More

On our long trip across the U.S., I booked the hotel several months in advance. We sailed through Carlsbad Caverns and arrived early afterooon, too soon to check in. We toured the town which took about 15 minutes. There really is nothing there except a nice little antique shop. We stopped in and asked the sweet hotel desk clerk if... More

This hotel, located in an historic building is replete with high ceilings, huge windows and great crown molding. The rooms themselves have been updated to include modern amenities and are very spacious. The location, however, combined with the lack of soundproofing, leaves anyone in a street side room (us!) crying for the very loud traffic to stop at 3 a.m.... More

Beautiful hotel in the old First National Bank building built in 1892. We went to the bar for the free wine tasting in the evening. We then had a very nice dinner. All of the staff were very friendly and most helpful. The room (101) was very nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Thank you so much for your review. Due to the historical content of the building, the historical society did not allow us to put an elevator in nor did they allow us to change the glass windows, this along with many other things helps keep the historical feeling of the building. Sunday morning are sometimes busy as we have a... More

We stayed here a few years ago, and returned recently to find the same luxurious accommodations. The location is good, on a main highway but traffic noise was not a problem, with off-street parking in back. The historic hotel is lovely, with high ceilings, lots of period details, and huge rooms with bathrooms that are amazing--almost as big as the... More

The Trinity Hotel is in a National Historic Landmark Building, the oldest building in Carlsbad, and therefore, each of the 9 rooms is unique. You reserve a specific room on the website. I have stayed at this hotel over 20 nights this year and have stayed in 4 rooms and been in four others. The best part is the exceptional... More
