This was our 4th stay at Mill House Lodge in 2 years. My husband and I are looking forward to our autumn visit this year as well. It is clean, the grounds are trimmed beautifully, the help is friendly and its cozy. If your goal is to sit on the porch with a drink in hand, and enjoy the tranquility... More

We had a nice experience at the Mill House Lodge. The room was clean. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but was alright. The bed was VERY comfortable. The location was perfect. I would definitely recommend.

Quaint and rustic. Clean and you can't beat the value. The owners where accommodating and though it wasn't fancy, it was clean and comfy. Our kids loved the pond and pool, and waking up to the sounds of nature is wonderful. Flat rock is situated in the middle of many outdoor activities. Check out Flat Rock play house, hike up... More

The room was not rustic. It was dirty and musty. The floors were disgustingly dirty and I had a 2 year old that wanted to play on the floor. We were told there was free WiFi. When we couldn't connect we were told that, we just had to connect to the WiFi out on the porch and then go into... More

Don't even know where to start. It was an adventure for me and my 8 year old daughter. However, the adventure turned horribly wrong when the owner -BOB, ended up being the creepiest person ever. We cooked a pizza in the oven and the smoke alarm kept going off. I didn't realize until 3 alarms later that it was the... More

Thank you for your feedback; we understand that you were upset about the incident, and value your opinion. The alarm/carbon monoxide detector was tripped as a result of the smoke from burning a pizza in the oven at 11:00 PM that evening. In addition, as we discussed, all the windows were closed, the fan was not running, and the air... More

Stayed here about 18 years ago and just had not made it back. Thought we would try again. Though dated, the room in Lakeview was very clean and neat. We had our own porch complete with rocking chairs and a lovely view of the lake. Though truly minutes from every convenience, the location is peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed the... More

I've stayed at this property several times & found it to be everything I required! Love the off the grid feeling & being close to major hiking venues! Location was great with regardd to meeting friends in Asheville later after hiking.

During a recent trip to Hendersonville my wife and I were looking from something different than the usual commercial property and my wife always wanted to stay in a "cabin" by a lake. We were not disappointed in this property. It has been around a while, but is very well maintained and definitely has a country feel - rustic but... More

We just spent one evening here after a wonderful visit to Hendersonville, NC. A tranquil view of the little lake from our room. We arrived just at sunset. The lodge is just down the road from the historic Village of Flat Rock, the Carl Sandburg home and a short distance from the Biltmore Estate and many other sites. We had... More

We were pleased with our room and accommodations. The lake view room was clean in every respect, including the kitchen and bathroom, and the bed was comfortable.
