Been there in May 2013 while on a round trip around the Colorado Plateau. That place we found by accident was the most remarkable place we have had. Our room was very tidy, mixed up with lots of cushions and a nice white metal framed bed . Worth to mention: the electric massage chair! Ty welcomed us by a notice... More

A meticulous conversion of a schoolhouse. Public area/breakfast room reminds of Downton Abbey without fussiness (Edwardian decor in soft white). The resemblance ends there. Our room was modern, spacious, bright and airy, like a well appointed private guest room in someone's home. All accessories in soft white cotton. Southwest theme in area rugs and other decor. Nothing is overdone. Massage... More

The effort to convert and, in so doing, restore this old schoolhouse is commendable. The building and gardens are very nice and well-thought out. While our stay was pleasant in every regard, I will echo two comments others have mentioned. The minor annoyance was that breakfast is really pretty late (8:30 a.m.) for anyone planning to do something other than... More

I live on the property and am nearly always on site during the check-in period between 3-6 pm (industry standard). Because our building & property are extensive, I keep welcome letters at the entrance in case a guest arrives while I am in the kitchen, greenhouse, or garden when they walk in the door. This letter explains that I'm probably... More

a very nice renovation of the old Torrey school house. cute, well done. very good location, 8-10 miles from Capitol Reef. the owner/innkeeper was very helpful and welcoming, but was respectful of one's privacy. Very good family-style breakfasts.

This B & B was so delightful and had a cute theme of naming the rooms (Arithmetic and Reading were the two rooms our family stayed in). The breakfast was delicious and family style, so we got to meet other people who were traveling the same areas we were.

We stayed one night at The Torrey School House and would highly recommend it to anyone. I made a point to read the negative reviews and honestly wonder if they stayed at the same B&B as our experience was exceptional in every manner. Personally I think some people will even complain about the sun rising in the East). Ty, the... More

The people are friendly and the breakfasts are more than one could wish for. The ambiance is fitting for the beautiful area surrounding Torrey, Utah. The rooms are clean, finished nicely and fittingly for a converted old school building. The type of clientele that are attracted to this place make for congenial conversation partners at the family-style breakfast. I would... More

We stayed at the B&B. for four nights and did enjoy ourselves. The rooms are clean and quiet (make sure you are on the 3rd floor), and the breakfast is wonderful, however, it is only served at 8:30... A little late,if you want to be out and about at Capitol Reef or other great parts in the area. The hostess... More

When we tour southern Utah, we stay at the Torrey Schoolhouse B&B Inn. It is such a relaxing evening. The manager, Ty, has thought of everything to make your evening and morning enjoyable. The rooms are decorated so pretty, and breakfast is so good. Ty and her staff really treat you like family. I would highly recommend this inn.

Let me start by saying that the owner has done an excellent job of converting this old schoolhouse into an inn. Hardwood floors throughout and modern conveniences like an A/C unit in the room (although we had the heat on). The following may seem like small nits if you consider them individually - but with so many, our experience was... More
