We spend a night at the schoolhouse and it was great! The inn keeper was super friendly, the garden and grounds were lovely and the rooms were immaculate and elegantly refurbished. There is also a kitchenette with a fridge/ freezer and microwave on each floor. We opted not to have the breakfast and saved $40. Definitly worth 100 and change.... more

Our stay here was okay overall but not great. Our room did not have an alarm clock or TV and although internet service was apparently available, it wasn't obvious how to use it. We asked to have our room 'refreshed' and it looked they all they did was make the bed. The sheets were not changed (they had a hole... more

A real gem! Welcoming with a very relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful rooms and main hall where a good breakfast is served. A lot of interesting history asociated with this historic building which has been beautifully restored and converted. Tea/coffee/fridge/microwave available in ante-room on each floor. Very relaxing garden. Charming hostess. Stay here and enjoy. more

Recently renovated, full of character and beauty - school house theme with a blend of Victorian and western styles. Outstanding gardens surrounding the building. Our room - boulder room on the 3rd floor was very nice, inviting and non-hotel like feeling (very much bed/breakfast), very open, finished woodworking and floors, very bright and beautiful. The owner is very welcoming and... more

Would we stay at the Torrey Schoolhouse again? Well if it means eating at Cafe Diablo, the answer is a definite yes! We( family of 3) had booked the Arithmetic Room on the 2nd floor for 2 nights. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the 3rd person had a seperate small, but cosy room and a seperate wash... more

The Torrey Schoolhouse B&B is a great place to stay near Capitol Reef National Park. The schoolhouse has been renovated to create wonderful large rooms with excellent bathrooms, and has really retained the schoolhouse feeling. Each room had many windows to enjoy the magnificent surrounding views. And the massage chairs in each room come in handy after a day of... more

beautifully and lovingly restored historic schoolhouse-- delightful stay- clean rooms outside garden is inthe midst of final renovation but already has a charm and peacefulness (Zen inspired themes - which at first may seem out of character ) Breakfast was tasty and substantial location is close to park and local restaurants more

The problems: I booked 3 nights in the Chinle room some eight months before our departure, so I was a bit concerned when we arrived and found our name not amongst those on on pieces of paper on the stairs with keys (I would have found this very odd if I'd not been alerted to this 'check-in procedure' by another... more

We stayed here for one night, in one of the rooms on the third floor. The room was really spacious and comfortable and with simple contemporary decor that gave it a really peaceful feeling. There was a massage chair in the room which was very relaxing. The whole place was very tastefully decorated and Ty was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast... more
