We enjoyed one night in this inn prior to visiting Capitol Reef National Park. We traveled scenic route 12 from the south in an unexpected burst of cold weather and snow. When we arrived in Torrey, there was snow covering the ground and the rooftops, giving everything a magical quality to us Southern California natives. The inn is a three... More

Close to capitol reef and located in the small town of torrey, this lovingly converted old schoolhouse has been the highlight of our southwest accommodation We stayed on the 3rd floor in the windgate room. The room is light and airy, immaculately clean and very spacious. Beautiful quilt on the larger than normal king size bed, beautifully finished modern bathroom... More

This stop was for the second and third nights of a September roadtrip, the first night having been spent in Brian Head UT. Our trip to Torrey was via the scenic UT State Route 12 which traverses some of the most incredible scenic territory in Utah, from its start just west of Bryce Canyon National Part, across the Devil's Backbone... We stayed 3 nights while touring the area. The Schoolhouse is very comfortable and well maintained, and the outdoor area a treat even when the garden was past season. Third floor is a climb after hiking, but the distant view is spectacular. Breakfast is at 8:30 sharp, which prevents an early start for touring. Good coffee is supposed to be... More

we stayed here three nights on a visit to Capitol Reef National Park. Charming old (but newly-restored) building, wonderful breakfasts and very friendly owners. It's about 15 scenic minutes from the park, and close to several Torrey restaurants. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in the area.

Wonderful place to stay- This Bed and Breakfast has a fabulous history being a old schoolhouse that was condemned before the current owners bought and refurbished. Very friendly owners that made you feel very comfortable. food was very good. This would be a great place to hold a wedding and reception.

I'd already booked accommodations at a local motel when I discovered Torrey Schoolhouse B&B, but promptly cancelled them when I found this charming place. The Inn and surrounding gardens are lovely, and the night sky was incredible. We spent one night in the Moenkopi Room, which offered amazing views and was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed (loved the massage recliner after... More

Our family recently stayed at this restored schoolhouse for 1 night in September. The setting is great, just outside of Capital Reef National Park. The Inn is very charming and our room was very nice and extremely roomy. The breakfast was superb and very enjoyable. Ty the owner is a great host and has done a great job in restoring... More

Large living room (formerly school classrooms, I presume) decorated somewhat eclectically, IMHO! Rooms are mostly large and delightful. Breakfast was very good, but only served at the appointed time of 8:30...so too bad if you needed to be up earlier, I guess. Grounds were attractive as well. Caution: this is a 3 story building with only one small room on... More

This B&B is full of character. It is a distinctive building in Torrey and lives up to initial expectations. I stayed in the Chinle room and it was large and airy with full facilities. There is no lift but large cases can be conveyed upstairs by the dumb waiter if necessary. The views are lovely with a feeling of space... More
