After a day at Capitol reef, we were so excited to drop our bags and use the massage chair in our pretty third floor room. The hike upstairs was not any worse than our brooklyn walk up. The room was clean, gorgeous windows overlooking town and mountains. We ate at cafe diablo (great) and enjoyed some tea and stars downstairs... More

No owner present to coordinate the stay with other guests. In the morning owner still not present and local employee servered bread pudding and bacon for breakfast. Still can't believe that one. No brewed decaf and didn't want to brew a whole pot. Very beautiful building but without owner participation a very sterile and cold environment .

Spent one night at the schoolhouse. Very nice in all respects. Excellent hot breakfast. Unique and very comfortable. No complaints whatsoever! Third floor room has a great view of the surrounding town and hills.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Torrey Schoolhouse. Our room was on the third floor. A bit of a climb to get the luggage up there, but a very nice, quiet, clean room. Loved the massage chair after a long day of driving. Breakfast was very good. Highly recommend.

In our view, the only place to stay in Torrey and only a short drive to Capital Reef NP. Although not luxurious, very comfortable….a real schoolhouse with a storied past (re: Butch Cassidy?) but totally renovated and quite comfortable! Gourmet family style breakfast. Negatives? Only one set time for breakfast; there’s no elevator so consider that when staying on the... More

This B&B is lovely. We had a great view from the Fremont room on the third floor and a very comfortable bed. Most rooms, if not all, have a massage chair which was much appreciated after a day of hiking at Capital Reef National Park. The innkeeper lets you use the refrigerator on each floor for snacks/drinks/tomorrow's lunch. Her breakfasts are... More

Torrey is a most pleasantly surprising town. About halfway between Moab and Bryce Canyon, where Routes 24 and 12 intersect, it is in a beautiful valley and has an official information center, several art galleries, excellent cafes and an historic bookstore. Torrey also has its old schoolhouse, where Butch Cassidy came to town socials, meticulously restored and wonderfully renovated to... More

This is a beautifully remodeled old schoolhouse that maintained the character of the building structure but changed the inside to be a wonderfully decorated & comfortable hotel. The main room on the first floor was the schoolroom and is now a great room for lounging and dining. There are many book choices, old and new, related to the local territory... More

There are few places that I can recommend without any reservation and Torrey Schoolhouse B&B is one of them. The Inn is in a restored 1916 schoolhouse (duh!) and is superbly decorated with period furniture but, get this, there is a reclining massage chair in every room and one in the great room on the first floor. Ah, that chair... More
