After reading TripAdvisor reviews, I had to check this place out. I was not disappointed. My room was large, the bed comfortable, the bathroom tiny but adequate. The room was very clean. Outdoors there were cats and roosters about, with a swingset area and a large enclosed hot tub. On the property is a fabulous Kiva which begs exploring. The... more

This is a review for the Capitol Reef Cafe only. This is the worst meal we had on our two-week trip. We ate lunch as there weren't very many choices in Torrey. The service was very slow and the waitress seemed to be the only one in the entire shop and cafe except for the cook. She was not friendly... more

In February I made reservations for two rooms for the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The four of us arrived about 5:00, and I showed the confirmation to the desk clerk. She said there was an error- someone had "accidentally" deleted our one room from their computer, so there was only one room available. We weren't thrilled about all being... more

There were no surprises for us. We came in late and left early and just wanted a good bed to sleep in. The motel was just as described by previous reviewers. It is a small motel, with walk-in rooms. They were a good size with extra space to spread out. It was clean and comfortable. We were cold though in... more

I would never go back to this part of the world and not book a stay at the Capitol Reef Inn. Built by a retired college professor, it is full of charm with personal effects and southwestern artifacts and information in the rooms. The place was old and a bit shabby, but clean and in good working order. The restaurant... more

This inn is very handy for Capitol Reef National Park. The rooms are better than they might look from the road. The price is reasonable -- about $48. The cafe is good and has healthy options on the menu. The people are friendly. more

This motel was small, friendly and comfortable. A fridge was included in the room which was handy. There was also a nice large hot tub outside. Rooms were spacious and although slightly old, they were clean enough. The place had a nice character. more

From the exterior my wife, son and I were at first worried, then we checked in, looked at the room, and smiled. The decor is magnificent in each well kept room. Dinner and breakfast were gourmet. Southey Swede is one great chef. The staff were very friendly. Overall, I wish I had a few extra days to stick around. Would... more

Capitol Reef Inn is an old motel but rooms are adequately maintained for an older place. Rooms were large and comfortable and the price was good. The food at the cafe was good also. We were disappointed that the garden hadn't been tended. Maybe we were there too early in the season for it. more

This motel is directly behind the Capitol Reef Cafe. This is one of the better dining opportunities in Torrey, and serves breakfast. The room was clean and well-lighted for reading. The bedroom area had two queen beds and was large. However, the bathroom was an afterthought! It was extremely cramped. The shower hit me at chest level, and was a... more
