This is a good hotel, well situated for visiting nearby Capital Reef National Park. The rooms are all equipped with handmade furniture and native American artefacts, giving them real rustic charm. The doors can sometimes make a banging noise when being closed, so I found my neighbours a bit noisy on entering and leaving. There is a native American "kiva"... more

We stayed at the Capitol Reef Inn on a trip through Utah, in Aug 08. The Inn consists of a row of drive-up, walk-in rooms at the back end of the property and a cafe at the front. The rooms are large and the beds are quite good. The bathroom on the other hand is very cramped and all of... more

We stayed there one night during our trip to Utah national parks in this August. We like it. It was a nice, clean and cozy place. Compared to the other motels we stay, this place reminds you more of a home. The room is commodious, the linens are warm and comfortable, the bathroom is clean, the decorations are enjoyable. We... more

After reading TripAdvisor reviews, I had to check this place out. I was not disappointed. My room was large, the bed comfortable, the bathroom tiny but adequate. The room was very clean. Outdoors there were cats and roosters about, with a swingset area and a large enclosed hot tub. On the property is a fabulous Kiva which begs exploring. The... more

This is a review for the Capitol Reef Cafe only. This is the worst meal we had on our two-week trip. We ate lunch as there weren't very many choices in Torrey. The service was very slow and the waitress seemed to be the only one in the entire shop and cafe except for the cook. She was not friendly... more

In February I made reservations for two rooms for the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The four of us arrived about 5:00, and I showed the confirmation to the desk clerk. She said there was an error- someone had "accidentally" deleted our one room from their computer, so there was only one room available. We weren't thrilled about all being... more

There were no surprises for us. We came in late and left early and just wanted a good bed to sleep in. The motel was just as described by previous reviewers. It is a small motel, with walk-in rooms. They were a good size with extra space to spread out. It was clean and comfortable. We were cold though in... more

I would never go back to this part of the world and not book a stay at the Capitol Reef Inn. Built by a retired college professor, it is full of charm with personal effects and southwestern artifacts and information in the rooms. The place was old and a bit shabby, but clean and in good working order. The restaurant... more

This inn is very handy for Capitol Reef National Park. The rooms are better than they might look from the road. The price is reasonable -- about $48. The cafe is good and has healthy options on the menu. The people are friendly. more

This motel was small, friendly and comfortable. A fridge was included in the room which was handy. There was also a nice large hot tub outside. Rooms were spacious and although slightly old, they were clean enough. The place had a nice character. more
