This small motel is very interesting, both from the structures and from the personalities you meet. The rooms are quite small, especially the bathroom/shower is minimalistic. And yet: the floors are hardwood with Navajo Rugs, the furniture has the same shiny hardwood, beds were good, WiFi is working well, the grounds are meticulously kept full of flowers. The Cafe is... We stayed here during an early spring visit when it was too chilly to camp. The room was basic, but comfy and very clean. The staff was friendly enough, and the location was very convenient. We never did get a chance to eat at the cafe. I would tell friends and family to stay here in the future.

Didn't stay here as we had already booked in at Torrey Trading Post but headed here for dinner. Decent food and an interesting building. I had a steak, which was good quality, but you may want to drop down a cooking grade as the medium I ordered was definitely well done. My wife had the very good chicken/ribs combo with... More

Torrey is a tiny town seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The Capitol Reef Inn and Cafe provided a diverse menu with fresh fruits and vegetables prepared by an accomplished chef! Kudos for one of the best omlets that I have ever had in a Restraurant. Wonderul

Booked this motel through TripAdvisor reviews. Was given single bed Room #4, but the small fridge was missing a shelf (I had food with me and needed that)... and asked if I could have another room. Was kindly given Room #5 which had two beds and a small window in the bathroom in back. That made a big difference to... More

the rooms are clean, decorated with a rustic style. rates don't include breakfast but are so reasonable you will have enough money to buy an awesome breakfast at the cafe that is attached to the motel. The cafe food is reasonably priced and full of fresh veggies. Great location just west of Capitol Reef National Park

Rustic, rich and remote. Not maintained to most standards but clean and romantic. Will definitely be back when opportunity knocks. Great food in the cafe and friendly locals. Appreciated the decor and relation to local heritage.

If you are traveling on the cheap and don't want to camp, this is a great little spot for the price. I have a big family in count and stature. We booked two rooms, slept, showered and left. This inn provided just what we needed to accomplish the day trip to Capitol Reef.

Old fashioned clapboard motel and restaurant, it's really sweet. Rooms are large (though I think the bathroom is a later addition and the shower-no tub-is tiny. My room has white walls & knotty pine floors with a scattering of Navajo rugs so it's woodsy but bright. Furniture is also knotty pine. The grounds aren't large, but there is a small... More

Room 7 has a front door that, when shut, has a huge gap on top. The floor in the bathroom is very soft and spongy indicating it is rotten. The toilet moves all over due to the floor issue. The room has poor electrical outlets that will not hold a plug as they just fall out. Room lacks adequate electrical outlets.... More
