Enjoyed the hotel. Nice room. Friendly staff. Fair breakfast. Sunsets always good over Capitol Reef. Got some great shots. Previously stayed at Best Western in Capitol Reef. Red sands is miles better. Did not use swimming pool or other facilities

Stopped here on my way from Zion/Bryce to Capitol Reef and beyond. Choose this place because of the reviews but it did not meet my expectations. True it only has 2 floors but the staff was not friendly. When I stated that I was checking in, both ladies put their heads down and did not even state that they would... More

Reasonable rates especially for an area that seems expensive for rooms, food, etc. I am referring for an area from Zion all the way to Durango, Co. Rooms were clean and a quiet night's sleep was to be had. Loved its proximity and convenience to Capitol Reef. The staff was friendly and breakfast was very good. Would stay here again... More

I stayed at the Red Sands Hotel over the 4th of July holiday. The rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They helped w/ restaurant and hiking suggestions and the wi-fi worked well. The breakfast was awesome and was great before hiking. I enjoyed the town of Torrey and the beauty... More

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were VERY clean and well maintained. The breakfast was good and it actually had protein instead of mini muffins. I am vegetarian and the staff was very informative in suggesting the best food options in Torrey. They provide a fridge and a microwave which is always... More

Stayed here one night before visiting Capitol Reef. Nothing special, just standard hotel with clean room and free internet. We stayed on second floor and there is not an elevator but no big deal. Not many lodging options in this area but if we ever go back we would stay here again. Less than 15 minutes from National Park.

This hotel is an excellent value. It's a small privately run hotel, not affiliated with any major chain. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, even finding a coffee maker for our room when that was not standard in their hotel. They supply a very nice breakfast, including waffles, scrambled eggs, yogurt and sausage. Very close to Capitol Reef. About... More

We only stayed one night but hotel was clean and comfortable and a great place if you are visiting Capitol Reef National Park or the Grand Staircase-Escalante. There are only 2 floors (no lift) so choose upstairs if you don't want anybody making noise above you or downstairs if you cannot manage the stairs. Breakfast was included and was ok,... More

My wife and I have been vacationing at Capitol Reef National Park for the past dozen years. The last half-dozen visits, we have stayed at the Red Sands Hotel. Every year this family owned and run hotel surprises with a new feature. This year it was an immense elevated stone deck around the east and south sides. Another amenity is... More

The rooms are quite nice for this class of hotel, with good air con, comfortable bed, excellent wifi. Laundry facilities. Breakfast is free and more basic than other similar hotels we've been to, little choice of healthy food - but on balance it was a very good stay. It's also very close the the park entrance.
