This is the best choice in town. The hotel is relatively new and is well constructed. The lobby and restaurant are beautiful. There is an espresso stand in the lobby/restaurant and it was quiet and comfortable in the Observation Lounge. Hotel has a small fitness room and working guest laundry.

The customer service provided by all associates that I interacted with was very welcoming. I'm used to staying with a marriott brand and I feel they did a very comparable job. I ate at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. I was surprised there was a nice selection for being so remote. Prices weren't too bad either. Hotel is a... More

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are adequate size and the beds are comfortable. The food in the restaurant is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. Be prepared for "Alaska prices". It is a smoke free and alcohol free hotel. I will not stay anywhere else in Kotzebue.

The Inupiat Alaska Native community of Kotzebue is a regional hub for the northwest part of the state and is well worth taking the time and effort to visit, to learn about the unique history, and the culture of the indigenous people, of this fascinating region :)) Whether you're here for business or for sightseeing, the Nullagvik Hotel offers a... Gorgeous rooms, good food in the restaurant, and a great place for meetings. The rooms, like a lot of places in Alaska, cost what they cost, but it’s worth it. The hotel is really modern and good-looking. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous. Breakfast is buffet only, so when you get sick of that, go next door.

I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Kotz, and the ladies I shared a cab with agreed. They had been stuck at another hotel on their last trip and told me it was fairly awful. I ordered room service this trip and was pleasantly surprised at the speed with which they arrived. $12 burger, but it's Kotz.

This hotel is about a year old and it stills looks brand new. You can tell the employees, management and owners take pride in the hotel and are doing their best to keep everything in tip-top shape. For those of you who have been to hotels in "bush" Alaska, the Nullagvik is WAY WAY WAY above anything you could imagine.... More

I was very surprised how clean and modern this hotel was. Kotzebue is some 30 miles north of the Arctic Circle, not a tourist hot spot by any means. I was amazed at the level of security, had to swipe your room key to get the elevator to go. My room had air conditioning, cable TV and internet. I did... More

I had multiple problems with my key card not working properly (including at first being sent to a different room than my card was programmed for). In my two nights at the hotel, I had to go down to get the card re-programmed. At one point I was told not to put the card next to my cell phone because,... More

In all respects, this is absolutely a first class hotel from its service and cleanliness to its decor. I spent two nights at the Hotel in mid-July and while it is a bit expensive it is well worth it. The lobby and halls have hardwood floors and are decorated with beautiful Inupiat art. The hotel is spotless. The room was... More
