Having read some earlier reviews I was expecting to be disappointed by our stay at the Scarborough Inn but I was pleasantly surprised! Let me start by saying that this is a no frills place to stay. Certainly not a B and B, and without any amenities I wouldn't call it a hotel. Basically a clean quiet place to sleep.... More

The biggest drawback for me was being given a room on the upper level and not having any help with bags. There were many stairs accessible only from the front of the building and my room was located almost at the rear of the building. That's a long way! I, too, was at the wedding mentioned by another reviewer. I... More

We had a small room in a separate building. For the price okay. The airconditioning was very, very noisy so we had to turn it off. But with an open window the noise from the (busy) road is very loud. The 'breakfast' (2 muffins) were already in the room at arrival. The location is convenient.

Scarborough Inn is an older hotel with lots of charming charter. The rooms are adequate size furnished with antique furniture. Ours had a four poster bed in a side room, a sofa, a small drop leaf table with two chairs. There was a microwave and frig next to a sink that is share by bathroom with only a shower. Our... More

We only stayed one night, but it was a good experience overall. We had Room 2, which has 2 queen beds. The room itself was standard hotel size and layout, but the decorations and furniture were antiques and it almost felt like staying in my grandmother's house. There was a strong smell (also reminding me of grandmothers) that I can't... More

Check in was easy, but that's really the only good thing I have to say. The AC window unit was loud, and it did not come close to cooling the whole room, especially the room that appeared to have been added on at some point. It felt like it was 90 degrees in that particular room when the sun was... More

We had two rooms for the weekend. The antique furniture was a nice touch. One room had a high bed with a stool to get up into it, our room had a canopy bed. We also had a small kitchenette with an old drop leaf table and chairs. The only modern furnishings were the TV, microwave, and refrigerator. The place... More

Rebecca made check in quick & simple. I am not sure to call this inn a B&B or a motel. However room #12 had no real problems. The I stayed in has four rooms. The room's furnishings included one large comfortable firm bed. The is quite high, with a foot stool unger the bed. Rebecca theorized that being an antique... More

Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Breakfast plastic wrapped Danish was awful, with not even a plate to put it on. Location was a little noisy, Television was better than most B and B TVs. Price was reasonable.

When we arrived it was in the 80s and our room was stuffy. We turned on the a/c and it made so much noise it actually vibrated up the walls. There was no way we would be able to sleep through that. It would be in the 50s that night so I tried to open the windows. That didn't work... More
