The Tranquil Inn was in the middle of Manteo and near Festival Park. The Rooms were clean and quiet with a nice view of the water. We were in a third floor room with an extra couch and the room was quite spacious. The breakfast area and deck had a nice view of the water and boats. The Tranquil Inn... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here over Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend and thanks to TripAdvisor, we had a wonderful stay at the Tranquil House Inn. I am a clean fanatic and this place met my standards. The rooms are bright, well appointed and most importantly clean. The only draw back to staying here is, if you are a coffee drinker... More

I took my Mom on what I called a "journey", up the coast of North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland in November, before all the bad weather hit. We stayed at three different places, the first being the Tranquil House Inn. I'm picky and my Mother is picky. WE DID NOT WANT TO PACK UP AND LEAVE. I don't want to... More

Just as the title of my post says - the Tranquil House Inn's name speaks for itself. I was traveling for work and was told by a co-worker they accepted the state rate in the office season for business travel. I arrived around 4pm on a Sunday and as past reviews have stated - Manteo is pretty much a ghost... More

The property is large, nice, well-kept, well-furnished. Everything works, though hot water can get to scalding temp if you are not careful in the shower. Breakfast room is the only common space, no sitting room, books, games as often found in a B&B. Breakfast is a substantial help-yourself spread, with pastry, bagels, microwave-your-own oatmeal and sausage biscuits; much like a... More

We stayed at the Tranquil House Inn for 3 nights this past June. It was so fabulous!! They have a continental breakfast in the morning and wine/cheese in the evening - all included - and this gorgeous deck to lounge and meet people - it has a great view of the quiet water front. The room was very clean and... More

Beautiful, older building located right on the water in the middle of a cute little town with plenty to do within walking distance. Very roomy and comfortable, especially enjoyed the free breakfast in the mornings and the wine and cheese in the evenings. Bathrooms could use a little updating but overall very well taken care of. Very nice place to... More

We stayed at the Tranquil House Inn for 2 nights in late August for our one-year wedding anniversary. When we arrived, there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room, which was a nice touch. The room was a cute beach-themed room and we enjoyed the wine/cheese/cookie hour each day and the breakfast in the morning. We... More

The Tranquil House Inn offers everything you will need for a relaxing, restorative stay. From the wonderful 1587 Restaurant for a delicious and elegant meal (featuring herbs and tomatoes grown on the grounds) to the continental breakfasts, lemnade and cookies, and wine hour, there's plenty to eat. (Not to mention the variety of restaurants a stone's throw away.) There are... More
