We had passed by this beautiful, meticulously kept B & B on many previous visits to Manteo, and decided that this time we would stay there. Our spacious--a separate sink area and an adjacent bathroom with shower (good water pressure) and tub, large bed, large, wide-screen digital TV, and a comfortable chair to read in), tasteful, well-decorated and appointed second... My husband and I were having trouble finding an inn near the Outer Banks that would only let us stay there for one night. The Roanoke Island Inn usually has a 2-night minimum stay for holiday weekends (which our dates fell on), but very kindly waved that requirement for us. Our room was spacious and well-cared for, and the Inn... More

I called this inn yesterday looking for a room. When I gave the innkeeper (Dee) my name, she repeated it in a rather teasing way. When I said I was looking for a room for the July 4th weekend, her repsonse was "Good luck with that"....not a very polite or helpful answer. She did try to sell me on nights... More

We were so impressed with this beautiful Inn. We stayed in the Bungalow which is just a short walk from the main building (the Bungalow is pet friendly and we were able to bring our dog). It was so clean and beautifully decorated – quaint and cozy. Dee, the Innkeeper, is so attentive and friendly and makes you feel very... More

I was seeking a few days away from the big city in a peaceful, picturesque place and the Inn met my expectations beautifully. I had a nicely furnished room (#5) that faced both the water and the garden, with several windows to let in the bright sunshine. It was perfect for a single person. Right outside the room was a... The best inn that we have ever stayed in. Not only beautiful but treated like royalty. Great location, with beautiful views and endless snacks and treats in the breakfast area. Enjoy the beautiful ceiling in the sitting area. while you enjoy books and magazines to read and brouse. LOVE IT!!!! J Pendergraph, NC

The location is perfect. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were super friendly. Breakfast, snacks, and drinks provided - very nice. We have been to a lot of b&b's and this one ranks right at the top.

Excellent way to go to the beach without the hassle of "going to the beach." I took my elementary school age children for a mid-week stay in the cottage. The Roanoke Inn exceeded my expectations & my kids loved the 24 hour snacks available in the kitchen. We would not hesitate to return & in fact are already looking for... More

my daughter and I were scoping out the area for friends and family that will be traveling this summer to see "The Lost Colony" play as my granddaughter is appearing in the cast this year. We found many areas to visit in addition to the play, including lots of great restaurants, and interesting shopping sites. All in all we were... More
