We spent 2 nights at this motel. The Navajo staff was very helpful and courteous. Our room and the dining room were clean. We are glad we chose this motel. The dogs of the Navajo in the parking lot were curious and friendly, and not the least bit of trouble. more

This hotel is not the worst Holiday Inn nor is it the best Holiday Inn that I have stayed. Upon arrival to the hotel, first time visitors will notice all the stray dogs in the parking lot. Management needs to take care of this problem. The desk clerk staff was very slow during both our check-In and check-out process. The... more

Chinle has its problems for which we feel sorry. However we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Holiday Inn. The staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was good too (extra on our rate). As Priority Club members, we got to keep our room until 2pm so we could... more

That nice pool in the photograph wasn't working when we showed up, so I decided to switch to the Best Western in town, because our plan was that the kids would swim while my wife and I went hiking. The Holiday Inn manager refused (well, not really refused, just said he wasn't sure it could be done or some other... more

First, be sure to use the Canyon tour at the Thunderbird. The one that runs from here is overpriced. They steer you to the one run by the people here. Beware. The hotel is mediocre, even by Chinle standards. I had stayed in the Best Western last time and it was much better. Service in general was poor, and the... more

Your options are limited in Chinle and this is the best one. We were on the 2nd floor, no elevator. The room was very clean, plenty of towels, nice bed, good air conditioning. We had a Canyon de Chelly jeep tour (3 hour tour) booked for 9 AM the next morning and the front desk staff graciously allowed us to... more

We were NOT impressed with Chinle; it’s very ugly. Fortunately, our Holiday Inn was nice. The room was clean and spacious. The grounds of the motel were nicely landscaped, too. As we checked in, we asked about a tour of Canyon de Chelly and found out we had one option—which would leave in 15 minutes. The manager scrambled to make... more

Not clean. Tired property. Only enough coffee in the room for one person. Manager not there to speak to in the morning. Service marginal. more

Since tourists go to Chinle solely for Canyon de Chelly, not the town, this was a very convenient choice as it is about 1/4 mile from the entrance to the Canyon. You are totally outside of Chinle. The restaurant was so-so, and breakfast was not included in the room rate. We ended up with two double-beds which was not very... more

We stayed here for two nights. The room was ok, adequately cleaned and of an adequate size, but nothing special. The hotel pool still looks a bit green - I wouldn't be interested in swimming in it. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night, and found it seriously over-priced and the food just ok. The second night we... more
