Stayed here before the name change and was a little reluctant to go this time due to some of the reviews. However I was relieved to find the place much as I remembered it. Sure, it doesn't have all the frills of the franchised chains. No hairdryer, safe, coffee maker, or ironing board. But it does have a large clean... More

Enjoyed our one night stay at this lodge done in Navajo style decor and wished we had booked two nights. The basic cabin/motel is a bargain. The gift shop offers one of the best selections of authentic Navajo artisan work of any place on the way. The prices are reasonable and hefty discounts are given. I had no buyer's regret... More

My husband and I stayed at Sacred Canyon Lodge for 2 nights in early October. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The cafeteria style meals were served hot and were reasonably priced. The best experience was our 4 hour tour. We booked with Beauty Way and would highly recommend our knowledgeable guide T.J.. He was not only an excellent... More

I decided to stay here based on the reviews and the fact that it was in the Canyon de Chelly park. Its an older hotel but clean, comfortable and quiet. There are no fancy amenities in the room ( refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer), the internet inside the rooms was spotty but I managed to survive quite well just the... More

I recently stayed a couple nights at the Sacred Canyon Lodge in late October. I've stayed at the other sister lodges at Monument Valley and Havasupai Indian Village and this one sits somewhere in the middle of the three with Monument Valley's The View being THE absolute best of the bunch. They really thought of the location when they built... More

This review is for Sacred Canyon Lodge (formerly known as Thunderbird Lodge). America - you need to get over yourselves! There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. Sure, this is an older hotel and some of the fittings and fixtures are a bit dated but it is clean, comfortable and the money you are paying is going to the... More

My wife and I (seniors) stayed one night at the lodge. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The place was clean and quiet. The adjacent cafeteria worked well for us. But, we did not shower - just sponge bathed - because of the warning signs that advised to beware temperature fluctuations of the shower water - hot to cold... More

This place is clean, people are friendly. That's about it. If you're ok with no hair dryer in room, showers that trickle because of their historic plumbing, no coffeemaker or refrigerator in the room, slowest wifi ever and want a short drive to the Canyon sights, then this is it. Kitchy old fashioned cafeteria with standard cafeteria food - get... More

The location of hotel for Canyon de Chelly is the best. The city of Chinle, where the other hotels are located is not very "exciting". We stayed two nights and liked the large room with nice table and chairs to enjoy a breakfast and light meal we brought from home. We had a fridge, which you can request if you... More

We found that our stay in Room24 was fine. Clean, spacious, good check-in service. cafeteria food in complex, which beats driving off site. convenient for touring Canyon de Chelly, as its right in the park. Pleasant site among large cottonwood trees. nice gift shop (trading post).
