I stayed at Sacred Canyon Lodge mid-April 2015 and the experience was better than I had expected after reading other reviews on TripAdvisor. You cannot beat the location, a charming setting within the park, and although the lodge is old and the amenities basic, I found the beds to be comfortable, the room clean, and the on-site cafeteria a convenience.... This has a nice setting and its in the park so you have easy access. Staff was pleasant and the food at the cafeteria was good. It is a cafeteria not a restaurant. Walls in the section we stayed in were thick old adobe, so the room was quite.Trading post had nice silver, pots, etc. The bad, like others who... More

My primary complaint about the visit was the really terrible food experience. The only food available at the Lodge is the Cafeteria and the food and overall experience is really pretty dismal. The food was very low end cafeteria style. My burger was cooked completely through and rubbery and grey. The mashed potatoes and corn were obviously canned and looked... More

We spent 3 nights at the Sacred Canyon Lodge at Canyon de Chelly National Monument within the park. We stayed in a suite in its own historic building which was very clean, attractive and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and responded to a special request for a microwave for the room within a few minutes of the request. They... More

Nice grounds, good rooms, most amenities. The cafeteria is quite good and reasonable. The trading post carries high end merchandise. Why stay at a chain when you can support a local business? You're right At the base of the south rim drive, very convenient

Although we did stay hear, the Sacred Canyon Lodge offers no view, like it's sister hotel, The View in monument valley. Several other hotels in the area just as convenient, less than minutes from the North & South rim drives and most tours pick you up at your hotel. The lodge only offers a cafeteria and it is not that... More

My 21-year-old daughter and I stayed here the night before taking a jeep tour thru the canyon. We had a room with two doubles (maybe queens) and the room was perfectly clean (I own a janitorial company so I am pretty picky about room cleanliness!). We had a very nice dinner at the cafeteria and it we had a ton... More

Clean, spacious room. Bed moves it is so jigglely and mattress needs to be flipped over as it is lopsided. Foam pillows are of the $1 store variety. Bed linens don,t feel fresh but rather like used, second hand and sadly faded. The Dark blue towels are faded and should be relinquished to the rag pile. Room lacks a basic... More

This hotel was actually inside the Canyon de Chelly and is operated by a Navajo company. I found it to be much more charming than the two chain hotels located outside the canyon. It is like an old-fashioned motel but was clean, nicely furnished. Certainly it had lots of character. The cafeteria next door had a great breakfast. The trading... More

The wonderful location at Canyon de Chelly and this being a more local place instead of the normal chain-hotels, was what made us choose Sacred Canyon Lodge. It looked very nice and appealing with the fall colours when we arrived but we had a few unfortunate experiences there. Had booked a room with king size bed but the room we... More
