If you want to be away from road noise and enjoy a relaxing environment, this is the place to stay. You can actually sleep with the screened windows open and not have to listen to the air conditioner cycle on and off like at most hotels. After our 4-hour exploration with Beauty Way Jeep Tours, it was lovely to return... More

Having stayed at a B&B in Page when we were really disappointed, the SCARCED CANYON LODGE was far superior in every way. The room was spacious, there was hanging and drawer space for all our clothes, the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of towels for the two of us (changed daily), the shower was great ..... and it was... When we drove into Chinle it was with some trepidation not the most charming of towns but we we got to the Lodge we were pleasantly surprise just inside the National monument nicely landscaped with lawns and trees we were greeted on the reception in a friendly and professional manor We had a spacious room with a King bed, good bathroom... We stayed in the family suite, which was in fact a small stone detached building with a large sitting room, large bedroom and good size bath room. The king bed in our room was very comfortable, and the children said the large sofa bed was too. The restaurant served traditional Navajo food and we enjoyed a delicious lunch there. Very... More

This hotel recent changed hands, and not for the better. It has the advantage of location, within the national monuments, but the new owners have made numerous changes, not for the better. When we checked in, they had lost our reservation, and then offered us a room at a higher price than I reserved. Only because I was able to... More

Oh dear.I badly wanted this to be a special place. It's on the edge of the Canyon de Chelly (totally amazing and underestimated place to go) and run by the local Navajo community. It is advertised as a sister hotel to The View in Monument Valley but is a poor relative; it really does need some attention and investment. It... More

Canyon de Chelly is a must see for all who are interested in the heritage of the native Americans. It is a unique place, and your choices are "inside the park or out" I would suggest this hotel if you like to try local. If not there is a Holiday Inn Express in the same area. You come here for... Classic hotel in the National Park of Chelly. Not worth being in the park as in fact the hotel is at the entrance of the park, very close to Holiday Inn and Best Western. Both of those hotels have a pool when this one doesn't. The restaurant is not very good so it is better to go in the two... More

We were very pleased with our stay here. The room was good-sized, clean and comfortable. We had a garden view room. The only thing missing was a little fridge in the room. I would recommend it without hesitation. There is no swimming pool, but for a good reason as the region is so dry.

After a rather dreary drive through the town of Chinle we were pleasantly surprised by this nice hotel in a quiet green location. Our room was big (2 queens and a sitting area). The Wifi didn't work very well but that's the only negative. The cafeteria nearby is visited by locals, compensating the very basic food (we had breakfast there).... More
