We chose this motel because it was inside the Canyon de Chelly national monument. The whole place was quite run down, the room we were in felt as it had not been opened and aired in several weeks. The place was full of mosquitoes, which is obviously not the hotel's fault, but didn't contribute to the overall experience. There's a... More

Nice welcome and pleasant room with the lovely dog, mentioned by others, who showed us the way to our room and then lay outside on guard. The room was fine and we had no problems with the hot water that some have talked about. The Trading Post was excellent with a good range of jewellery to spend your money on!... More

My wife and I had the opportunity to spend the night at the Sacred Canyon Lodge on August 18. The lodge was very nice and everything we expected. We did not use the restaurant; however, it seemed very nice also. The staff we met were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly consider using them... More

We stayed here in between the Christmas and New Year holiday. We arranged a truck ride into the canyon for a personal tour. This location was right at the entry and a great easy-convenient location. The hotel is adequate and comfortable. It offers a cafeteria style restaurant, which is affordable. We found some nice pieces in the gift hope/trading post,... More

Fantastic location, right at the mouth of Canyon de Chelly. Love the old-school architecture. The suite, housed in a separate, historical stone building, feels like staying at a favorite uncle's country house--mismatched furniture, nothing fancy, but cozy and comfortable. Very quiet and simple.

You are well located...but the other hotels are not far and cheaper. Don't think you will exchange with the Navajo as you could do somewhere else (we did...) The receptionnist welcomed us with her headphone, no smile, no information...In the bedroom you pay for accepting that: the shower won't be hot ("because of the environnement"), you can't put anything into... The room was adequate and clean, it was nice and quiet outside, surrounded by nature. The property's dog was a middle-aged calm medium size sweety...I spent an hour sitting on the porch, and he kept me company snoozing in the grass about 15 feet away. When I walked back to my car, he followed me from a distance, just to... More

Sacred Canyon Lodge is the only hotel/motel within Canyon de Chelly. We stayed in room 16 which had two double beds. It was a clean, comfortable room which faced the grassy area. There are chairs outside the rooms so you can relax outdoors. The lodge is a basic accommodation in a remote area. A good place to stay if you... More

it's inside the Park, so very easy to reach the rims, if you are a good walker you will be able to make the South rim by walk. the rooms are clean and very spacious, easily can accommodate a 3rd bed. silent and quiet place. the mattress could have a little review, I got the king size bed and had... This property is much more like a motel than a lodge but sports large rooms in a very quiet setting. It appears that there are three sections: an old historic section which includes a trading post and cafeteria, a 1950's era motel room expansion area fronting onto a green grass courtyard, and a more recently added room area with several...
