We like to book a weekend getaway from time to time just to be someplace different. We took a chance on the Woodfin in Sorrento Mesa area of San Diego and were very pleasantly surprised. Stayed at the woodfin for only one night since it is very close to UC San Diego. Got a great price through priceline - $60 for a saturday night stay. We got a regular hotel room with a queen bed. A very modern and squeeky clean hotel in a business district on the north side of San Diego. Close (but not too close) to the freeway, big comfortable room, bathroom and kitchen, big comfortable bed. Very good value (booked on the Internet) more

The Woodfin Suites in San Diego is everything you want in an establishment. If you need anything the staff will make it happen before you can ask a second time. the rooms are more than special. I booked this hotel for my trip to welcome my son home from his recent deployment. Its close proximity to the Miramar base and more importantly - the availability of a kitchen, so that he could enjoy a couple of Mom's home cooked meals. This was my second stay at this Woodfin Suites. I remembered the hotel fondly based on my first visit. Unfortunately, this stay has left a bit to be desired. My wife and I checked in for a three night stay, just to get-away. The front desk was extremely friendly at check-in and they moved us to the 4th floor upgrade without even asking. Have taken 3 teams of minimum 20 up to 45 for stays for soccer tournaments and staff, ammenties and location to fields are wonderful. Reccomend staying at Woodfin if booking for a large group. Rooms with kitchens, great pool and social area and gym with access to reatsuarnts walking distance away make this the perfect venue. more
