We loved the Dana on Mission Bay! The facilities are excellent, the views over the bay (we stayed in room 1209) are brilliant, and we loved the pools. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location-wise it is also very convenient: 5 minutes away from Sea World, 15 mins into town or to the airport. We had a wonderful stay here to... More

I originally reviewed this property when we vacationed, but somehow I ended up with two accounts and when they merged, my places visited stayed, but none of my reviews or dates did. I will do my best off my memory. My husband, 3 yr old daughter and I stayed her in early May 2013. It was for a pre-deployment trip... More

My daughter lives in the area and I chose to stay here while visiting her. I was apprehensive based on some reviews but was very PLEASANTLY surprised. The room was comfortable and clean with a view of the marina and had a little back patio. Both pools were very nice and open late. The food in the restaurants is very... More

Traveling to San Diego with my elderly disabled mother, I wanted a resort where she would be comfortable just sitting on a pretty patio overlooking the Bay. The Dana on Mission Bay delivered...she loved it there so much that we couldn't get her to leave her pretty perch! While mom was relaxing, I rented a bike at the resort and... More

Views were wonderful. Rooms were comfortable. Great breezes. If you need to charge your devices, bring plugs. There were no USB plugs in the rooms we stayed in. That said, the staff was fabulous at helping with everything we needed, from a room switch to a single king bed, to a new coffee brewer when the one we had stopped... More

The Dana is just average. The resort looks great at first arrival; the location is very nice and the common areas are pleasant; however, the rooms have a stale oder when you first walk in and are in need of updating. The carpet in our room was old and dirty, I even found a piece of dog food on the... More

The Dana is a great place to stay if you want to be close. The staff are great the amenities are great. The rooms could use some attention to detail repairs, but it's a great place to stay on Mission bay. It's almost right next door to Sea World, and very close to Belmont Park.

I stayed here with my two young kids for one night. The positives are: The location was great. It's right on the harbor and we took some very nice walks along the water. We had a great view of fireworks at night, although a little late for anyone trying to sleep (around 10 pm). The hotel provided a crib at... More

Wonderful resort with nice pools and amenities. Two pools, lots of green lawn space, and even fire pits that line the bay. We were given a free upgrade to a room with an excellent view of Mission Bay. They do charge to park your car, but hey it's San Diego at peak tourism and it's superior to a Motel 6... More

I love this hotel. My room had been updated and really nice, with a large bathroom, comfortable bed, microwave, fridge, and Keurig, and the grounds are just beautiful. Hotel is on Mission Bay, view of a harbor, with a perfect view of Sea World fireworks every night. The two pools and two restaurants (and happy hour) are wonderful. The staff... More
