This is my second stay at the Dana and it was wonderful. My son and I came down from LA just for a weekend getaway. The Dana is a great location close to everything you need to see in San Diego. At night you can see the fireworks from sea world. the firefly restaurant was great for breakfast, we were... More

Our stay here was perfect. I was our first time in California, and couldn't have asked for more. Shannon and the rest of the staff in Guest Services were always very friendly and helpful whether we needed something for the room, or advice on where to go or how to get to the local attractions. The room was always clean,... More

After four nights in Disneyland, we looked forward to a relaxing stay in San Diego. The Dana was lovely. We had a view room and were placed on the 2nd (of 2) floors overlooking the Tropical Pool. Vaulted ceilings, very clean. Great place. However, there was loud music being played at the pool. The bar wasn't open, there was hardly... More

The hotel was not at fault for this misunderstanding and being so close to sea world they did not have king size beds available. I booked with amoma and thought I had booked a better room. Amoma called it a jr suite. It was only a standard room. When your husband is 6'5" you do not book a queen size... More

My bother treated my sister and me to a week in San Diego. The three of us have never spent time alone together since we were kids. We had the most wonderful time at The Dana, the locale was perfect for us to hang out and visit. The friendly, helpful staff made our stay pleasant and relaxing. Don, our shuttle... More

Pretty nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Thanks to Dave for recommending Flex Transportation. Saved us a ton of money. Even gave us coupons for SeaWorld and The Zoo. Decent room. My only complaint is the AC is located in the bathroom makes it hard to cool your room. Check out the convenience store across the Marina...has some... More

An ok spot, basic, not inexpensive, small rooms, firefly restaurant is ok as well, good fish tacos. San Diego seems not to have bargains even with Group On. Just hope rooms next door are empty or you end up sharing what neighbors are saying and doing.

My stress level went down the minute I heard the piped in music at check in. Staff are extremely helpful and gracious, room with a view of the Mission Bay yachts, rowing teams, paddle boarders and on site wedding parties. Patio dining at Firefly Restaurant next to gorgeous pool, spa and cabanas. Loved the discounted bike rental to nearby ocean... More

A quick walk around the property and review of the web site will make it clear to most that the Dana is a very large property that started as what most people would consider a motel (low rise two story buildings with small cramped rooms and individual window-style air conditioners), and is in a gradual process of converting itself into...
