My husband and I love California and decided to return this summer. We were so pleased with our stay at the Bristol last August that we booked it for a four day stay this year. We arranged for rooms for us and our friends who were joining us in San Diego. We checked-in at 5 a.m. and were greeted by... More

We were thrilled to be staying at the Bristol again recently for a family trip to San Diego! We love the boutique atmosphere including decor of the rooms and lobby. The comfort of the beds was amazing! All staff are very friendly and go the extra mile for guests. Would highly recommend staying here if you want location, service, and... More

The hotel location is great for downtown San Diego events. The hotel is located about two blocks from the Gaslamp area. The front desk service was great and offered up their experience on things to do around the downtown area. The room was nothing glamorous; similar to other “boutique” hotels, the bathroom is cramped. The A/C in our room was... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night for his birthday and had a great experience. We did the "Eat, Sleep, and Be Parked" package which came with breakfast, all day valet parking, and late check out for a very reasonable price. Everything was clean and looked nice, breakfast was good (although service was a little slow for having... More

This was our second stay at the Bristol. Check Stash hotels out on line. They take old hotels and restore them to their former glory with a modern flair. The service is outstanding; you feel pampered by the staff. The inhouse restarurant and bar are nice, intimate with the same great service. The fitness room was well equipped, particularly for... The location of the hotel is the best if you would like to access San Diego downtown. The famous Gaslamp quarter is in walking distance. When I was there, the Gaslamp was holding its 2014 Mardi Gras. It is also very close to the airport. The room is clean and quiet. However, I am not sure if I stayed in... More

Dear dawalish, Thank for staying at the Bristol Hotel and I was pleased to read that you enjoyed our great downtown location near the Gaslamp. I want to assure you that we are a non-smoking hotel and I am assuming that a prior guest did not honor our strict policy. This was the exception to our rule and I apologize... More

We spent a long weekend at the Bristol in the Gaslight District of San Diego. It was conveniently located (walking) to the pier, restaurants, shopping, Midway, convention center etc. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Very good, actually quite cheap for the quality level. Very well located, close to the city center and to the main attractions of the city. At night it's quite and you can sleep really well. Rooms are very nice and clean. People are kind and helpful.

I just came back from my first trip to SD. I picked this hotel because of the ratings. The location was nice, room was clean, and the staff was friendly. It was nice for them to check us in early.
