I would stay here again just because of the location. It's right on the outside of the lamp-district downtown--right next to the ball park. The restaurant/bar downstairs is great. It's right next to the metro too. However, the rooms were alright. Nothing bad really to say about them but nothing really stood out as great either. Parking is outrageous!!! But... more

My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights the middle of June. The people were friendly & courteous. The lobby of this hotel is really beautiful. Our room was a good size but there was no view, which was ok with us. Beds were very comfortable. The location is walking distance to many restaurants & sights. It was a short... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel because of it's proximity to the House of Blues (HOB is on the same block as the hotel) where we were going to see a concert. Hotel is built out of what used to be a bank building which gives it a very nostalgic feel that we liked. Our room was on... more

Very nice location. There is so much with in walking distance of this hotel. The hotel is an old bank building and the architecture and decor is very interesting. The room I was in was a little small and didn't have much of a view, but it was clean and they had free Internet in the rooms. The downside to... more

This is a good mid-range hotel for business travelers. Internet connection was free, and the breakfast is priced reasonably. There is a very efficiently organized fitness center in the basement with several treadmills. While you are in the basement, be sure to check-out the displays of the vaults. I've stayed at Courtyard brand at many locations, but this one by... more

Gorgeous and historic hotel - small but good-looking rooms. Great, open lobby. Decent staff. Rowdy valet. Limited wifi. Husband - then boyfriend, got a new motion sensing recorder for his birthday and we happened to have it in the car during our drive from Pasadena to San Diego. We later noticed the recording picked up the valet pumping up the... more

This hotel is very good, I stayed on the 14th floor and had a greta view although some views ar over reatail and parking spaces. It's about 12mins walk from the conference centre and the airport bus stops just a block to the west along Broadway. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The House of Blues and the Local... more

After much head scratching on where to stay in San Diego, without a car, we booked this hotel because it said it was on the edge of the gaslamp and therefore quieter and it was an old bank and had some charector. It isnt that far from the action, three blocks but directly opposite on one corner is a night... more

Building was an old bank so the converted lobby is absolutely huge and beautiful! The cookies at reception were delicious- I couldn't keep my boyfriend away from them. The rooms are clean and classy... no complaints at all. We were in town for the Padres game and had convenient access to a fun night on the town! Would definitely recommend! more

Only here fro 1 night but what a pleasant place. Very friendly check in - fast too. The room was just right, clean and well maintained. Very quiet in the hotel. Right in the heart of downtown just steps away from the Gaslight Quarter and just over the road form the Horton Plaza. Nice to see the old bank features... more
