The fire alarms went off in our room at 5:00 AM, This was an electrical problem, and every room (except the bathroom) had a blaring fire alarm going off. We complained to the front desk. They told us they could have maintanence fix it at 7:00 AM! Two hours of ear piercing alarms? I asked if they could at leats... more

The room we booked was large (1-bedroom suite) and well-appointed. Full efficiency kitchen, a nice flat-panel tv in the living room, and it was very clean. The living room was huge. We had 3 suitcases wide open all the time and they never got in the way. Try that in a standard hotel room. Only 50 units in this complex... more

My dad booked two rooms at the Hawthorn Suites through Expedia. When we arrived for a late check-in we were told, by the exceptionally rude and unprofessional woman on the front desk, that Expedia had overbooked them and that we were going to be sent to their sister-site down the street. We had booked two King suites with kitchenettes. We... more

I stayed at the Hawthorn Suites with my husband and another couple from May 30th - June 6th. It was wonderful! We had a two bedroom suite which worked out well except the bedroom off of the living room didn't have a door but we made do. The rooms are really large and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The... more

I frequently attend a conference in hotel circle and refuse to stay at the sponsor hotel. I decided to give Hawthorne Suites a try. For the same group discount rate as the conference hotel my group was staying at, I got a much larger, newer room, with a kitchenette, an excellent hot breakfast (not just pastries and fruit), a workout... more

I can't believe anybody can complain about this hotel. I'm there as I write this review. This place is fabulous. For the price, there is nothing comparable. I've been traveling to SD for the last 4 months every other week and I've stayed at quite a few of the hotels on Hotel Circle, this is by far the best so... more

This region is overpriced to begin with. After searching Orbitz and finding a decent price for a Mission Valley' Hotel Circle suite room... Not bad for $$$.$$ !!! Clean and spacious room with all the amenities one needs for a suite room. Smiling staff members and good cleaning effort from housekeeping... i can appreciate their efforts. more

I cancelled my reservation a week before i was supposed to arrive and the hotel still charged $500 to my credit card. I called the hotel staff 5 times, talked to different people, left messages and they promised to take care of it but never did. Finally, after almost two months of frustration I got my credit card company involved... more

We stayed at the Hawthorn Suites Hotel from April 16 - 25. We got a one bedroom suite and have 3 children under the age of 7. The price was great! I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews here but I must say this hotel definitely lived up to our expectations. The only "problem" we had... more

This is great place though not "POSH"...Recently stayed here for 7 days... Suite rooms are absolutely HUGE. You feel more like you are in an apartment rather than a hotel. Kitchen area is wonderful with frig-range top-microwave & dishwasher. Bathroom is large but only has single sink area. Hotel was extremely quiet plus nice views of the "Hills". Complimentary breakfast... more
