The people were very friendly and the breakfast (waffle iron) was very good. I loved walking the area and taking in the boats and people heading out to fish! To bad the rooms had that splashed on paint feel! The place is aging and instead of stripping it and making it better the tried to cover it up. Nice local... more

We flew into San Diego and did not have a hotel reservation anywhere. We drove around the motels around the airport and were very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the cleanliness of the lobby area, so we decided to stay here. Having interior hallways was nice, ane the updated room was very comfortable and had a good... more

Modern room decor, comfy bed, ironing board, iron, coffee maker, well-lit parking, decent morning complimentary breakfast. Double-glazing on rooms overlooking main road(s) works very much - sound modest. Wi-FI fine. Security cameras and walk arounds give sense of security. Bar appeared to be quiet, even Sat. nite. Suggest avoid rooms near exit doors c/o noise. Washrooms clean but very tiny.... more

The room and bed was comfortable. It was a little noisy because our room was right next to the exit to the parking lot and the hallway was elevated on wood. Also the bottom of the stairs leading to the upstairs lounge were located right outside our window. Other than that it was nice and after things quieted down for... more

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years and have always enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is a good value. The rooms are very clean with refrigerators and microwaves in most rooms. They have done some remodeling over the last couple of years and the furnishings are very nice... more

We parked at the hotel for our cruise and it made it alot cheaper than provided paid parking. The only thing is they told us $5.00 per day when we booked, then it went to 6.00 per day when we checked in and ended up paying 7.00 per day when we checked out. Though it was still half the cost... more

It was our anniversary and we wanted to visit the gas lamp district, the Midway, Point Loma National Park (Cabrillo) and our daughter who attends PLNU. We started with a five star hotel in the gas light quarter but just didn't feel comfortable in the room. A little creepy? We left and found room at the Ramada. The staff was... more

We were treated with real curtesy and had the convenience of ironing board, refrigerator, microwave all provided. The service was excellent! Certainly all we could wish for to get a good night sleep before going on our cruise! more
