I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites because I had a meeting at UCSD. The location was perfect for access to UCSD which was only about a five minute drive away. This place is a good value, although it's about a 15-minute drive to downtown SD, without traffic. But it's quiet, the staff are very friendly and my room was super clean. But it was a hotel - sterile and lacking personality. Oh well, at least they gave me a free cookie when I checked in! more

For the price paid, one cannot beat. It reminds me a full-service Radisson that's been reflagged. Well-maintained hotel and rooms. Full American Breakfast with hot selections.
