During check in we were not informed that the suite had bunked beds or that there would be a fee for water and a safe, which was charged to my credit card. The following morning while getting ready the power went off on our suite not the building. We try to changed to a couple of rooms instead but the... more

There are both plus and minuses to staying at the Marina Inn. First, the pluses: -GREAT location. It's right off Pacific Highway, next to the waterfront. It's close to great Italian restaurants off India St., and very close to destinations such as the Zoo, Sea World, USS Midway, and Old town. -Tidy rooms. While it was not absolutely spotless, it... more

I stayed here for 2 nights - one was on a weeknight and the other on a weekend. The best 2 things about this hotel were it's close location to the Marina/Cruise Ship Terminal and the service. The rest was kind of...average. Since the hotel was close to the water it also was close to the airport. You could hear... more

Originally I had booked two rooms at a sister-motel, Point Loma Inn. About 1 month before visiting San Diego I had a change of plans and canceled one of the rooms. When we got to San Diego we were informed that they had overbooked the Point Loma Inn and would we go to their other motel, Marina Inn & Suites.... more

We were able to book last minute reservations because of a totally unacceptable reservation at a different motel. The desk staff was lovely and so very nice to us. The rooms were clean, freshly painted, and had plenty of towels. There were too few parking places which was a problem for us. We would have liked to have a pool... more

The rooms were pretty small if you plan to be inside for a long period of time. It's perfect for crashing after drinking all day at the beach and then crashing back again after a long night partying in dowtown. It's close to everything! Perfect for JUST crashing! more

The rate I paid was much lower than listed on this site, for some reason. I paid less than $80. I was pleasantly surprised at the Marina Inn based on some of the reviews here. The rooms were clean and well-lit, lots of sun, overall a positive feeling when I first got there. The room, while small, was adequate and... more

Stayed here while attending the ESRI conference. Room was clean and comfortable. Although they put me in a room right next to the highway, the traffic noise was tolerable. TV was old and the screen was scratched, but I didn't really use it that much. Tram stop was not too far. No complaints, but this is not more than a... more

The reservation desk booked us at the Marina instead of the Pacific Inn as we requested. After that got straightened out we got to our room and was quite shocked at how nice it was. It had a King size bed, fridge with water, coffee maker, it was very clean inside and out. The room gets 4 stars but the... more
