Pros: -Clean -Quiet -Good service Cons: -Forced valet parking...no self park. -Rip-off parking rate of $32/night...plus they charge a resort fee on top of that! -Decent location for Petco Park, Gaslamp, etc...but I will stay closer next time. -Basic rooms with an average quality bed. -Old hotel built in 1970, with an even "older" style and vibe.

Three day conference, about 70 people, receptions, breaks, meals, it was all outstanding. The sleeping rooms are wonderful, and the service is way over the bar. The anticipate all your needs. Food presentation beats it all.

This hotel is located downtown San Diego and within walking distance of the wharf, gaslamp and many other attractions and the hotel itself exuded a quiet sophistication. Accalades to the chef for a 5 star dining experience. The international staff added to the european flavor. Outstanding chef, concierge and service.

Shraddha Chief Concierge is the person to see in the first place. Her advice is priceless. For the first timers here in San Diego we were lucky to get the best information from her. Highly recommend seeing her if you stay at the Westgate hotel.
