I stayed at this hotel for two nights on a recent business trip. The room was fine, and I enjoyed the Victorian touches. Small things you might expect elsewhere were missing, however. I opted to stay here instead of at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, where my conference was held, in order to escape the masses of business people and relax at night in a great location. The position of this hotel can't be faulted. In the heart of the Gaslamp quarter within easy reach of the harbour front with all it's shops and restaurants the hotel couldn't be better placed if it had been moved there... which it has, brick by brick and apparantly, ghost by ghost.
