We had a wonderful visit. Four block from Petco Park and plenty of great restaurants in the Gas Lamp District. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed except for a fridge. Try not to stay on the side that Fluxx Bionic is located on. It is a dance club and loud. Other than that, no problems. Staff... More

We stayed for one night in a King, fireplace, balcony room and had a great time. The service from Ken and Nancy was particularly helpful, and the outside patio and dining area was great! Staying on the 4th floor, I think we were lucky to have a newly remodeled room. One caveat being the shower was a bit standard in... More

Very professional and welcoming staff. The hotel is undergoing renovations which we weren't aware of. The rooms are small but the fireplace gives them a nice romantic touch. Not my kind of hotel but it did the job for the one night that we spent there. I feel like this hotel would be nice for older couples since it was... More

We truly appreciate your comments in regards to our wonderful staff. We are very excited to showcase the new updates here on property but understand at the same time that that can certainly be an inconvenience while taking place. This process has nearly finished and we sincerely thank you for all the feedback. More

The hotel is just beautiful...even during the renovations. The staff were professional...front desk, maintenance & housekeeping! (Yep...I spoke to all of them!) The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The courtyard was my favorite place in the hotel! I will stay at the Horton again when I return to San Diego.

Some renovations going on but really nice staff. Rooms were small but really clean and we'll appointed. Small gas fire places made the room seem cozy. Saw other rooms as well that friends stayed in and they had small balconies. Best location in Gaslamp. Easy access to everything. No car needed.

It is always so pleasant to hear from our guests who love and enjoy the Victorian aspect of this historic property. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your comments with us and we hope to welcome you back sometime soon. More

the hotel is located in the gaslamp quarter, and for me was perfect beacause I was there for a conference at the convention center (only 3 blocks). The room is old style, there is the need to renovate the bathroom (very old) and the room too even with electricity (the modern traveller needs to recharge more than 1 device..). So... More

This was a great hotel. Not your standard cookie cutter. It is a boutique hotel that was built in the 1886. If you like the Victorian era the hotel is an excellent representation. With fireplaces in many of the rooms it is great for a couples getaway. The rooms are smaller (think European) and don't expect hot tubs, swimming pools... More

Having never been to San Diego, we decided to stay at the Horton Grand. Loved the accommodations and the location. Throughout our stay, we found ourselves asking the valet named Casey many questions about what to see and where to go eat. His recommendations were right on. He was very friendly and helpful. He made our stay more enjoyable. We... More

The building is awesome. Bully in 1885 and located in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. But ... if you are on the island avenue side, sleep is not in your future. This is especially true Thursdays thru Sundays. The noise from the palace bar continues until 2300 or later. Then the thumping of base starts from across the street... More

This is a real SAN CBD find and I would highly recommend it - not just a modern plastic hotel . It is a combination of two historic hotel (The Grand and The Horton) and Wyatt Earp apparently lived in the hotel for 7 years. I think I could to. Right in the middle of the Gas Lamp (bars and... More
