Stayed one night for a holiday party in downtown. Hotel is in a great location in downtown, a few blocks to convention center and gas lamp dining and bars. Front desk was friendly and check-in was a breeze, I event checked in a few hours early. Room was comfortable and quiet and had a fireplace which was a nice touch.... More

This is a great gem found in the Gaslamp district so walking distance to many attractions and close driving distance to the Zoo and Old a Town. Staff are very friendly and the hotel has historic value. The rooms are small but have a balcony looking over the courtyard and have a fireplace. They could use some updating but attractive... More

Stayed 3 night there, on check-in, I asked for a quite room, they gave me one on the ground floor, promised it would be quite. Well, it was not. The window isn't double glazed, when certain car drove pass the window vibrated quite violently. Ear plugs are essential. The room itself is old world charm, clean, smallish, no safe box,... More

beautifully restored and maintained hotel close to some great places in the Gaslamp area. Its proximity to the clubbing scene is, however a great minus as your room will beat to the bass and when the clubs empty onto the street at 130 the street noise, cars and motorcycles seem as if they're in the next room.

This is a beautiful, boutique hotel in the heart of the gaslamp district in San Diego. The hotel itself is amazingly well done with beautiful wood trim and staircases. The breakfast served at the hotel is verygood. The value is great for the area. The major drawback is the noise on Friday and Saturday night coming from the streets. I... More

This is not your franchise hotel. We stayed here because I had a race over by the Bay and it is a very short walk over. You can park your car and simply walk everywhere! It is 'thick' in the gaslight district so quite lively on the weekends! We had a nice king size bed in the back (you want... More

Short 10-minute walk to the Convention Center, with restaurants nearby. If you want a unique place to stay, this Victorian hotel is a nice change of pace. Free wireless, but few other standard amenities, so stay here for a room with 14' ceilings, ornate crown molding, bay window, small balcony, and fireplace (probably only in certain rooms). Bed and bathroom... More

Stayed Oct. 30, 2014. It is literally by the gas lamp's busy 4th and 5th streets. I booked the old town trolley tour and it stops by the hotel so that was great. All the restaurants I had a reservations in was walking distance to this hotel. Rm. 407 I think is a good room to stay in. It has... More

Stayed four nights for a conference at the convention center. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the convention center and Coronado ferry landing and to countless restaurants and shops in the Gaslamp Quarter. This is a historic hotel so the rooms are a bit small and cramped but the price difference compared to the hotels at the convention... More

We had driven from LV and decided to go with the valet parking offered by the hotel rather than finding our own. This was a pretty decent service, and for $30 p/n, it was actually cheaper than other hotels in the area (eg. Marriott $40 p/n). You can ask for your car anytime and as often as you like. So...
