My family loved this hotel. We had 3 rooms with great views of the Marina. The rooms were spotless, older but very comfortable. We had our 1 year old grandaughter with us and the hotel went out of their way to make it a good stay for her, the crib was great, we were able to rent a refrigerator, the... more
I booked this room without knowing its identity, on Hotwire - only paid $129/nite plus the $20/nite fee for parking-still quite a deal compared to their published rates-after I got the name of the hotel, I quickly checked reviews to find some negative comments about the hotel - I called the hotel directly- and worked with them on getting the... more
Upon arrival at the Sheraton which looked beautiful as we pulled up to it, we realized that since our room was booked in the Bay Tower, we were not staying at the Hotel we pulled up at. We were to continue down the road to another Sheraton. The Bay Tower wasn't too bad but definately not as nice as the... more
Better than a Motel 6, but not by much. Like most people, I stayed here for a conference. Had my company not been paying for it, I would not have chosen here and would not return here. I also would encourage my company to choose another place in the future. The room was pretty basic, not uncomfortable. It looked a... more
Arrived June 27 and stayed until July 3rd. Based on previous reviews I was a little apprehensive. Rented a car at the airport and parked in the main lot, no problem there. Walked in 3 hours before check-in and our room was ready. Our room was supposed to be on the concierge level but that was booked. They did however... more
We stayed at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina for one night (Marina Tower), 5 July 2008 and never wanted to leave. The grounds are gorgeous, with flowering trees, palms, fountains. The valet staff, bell man, front desk staff were all very gracious and accommodating. The lobby looks like a palace and there are big pumps of delicious scented... more
We came for a Conference with a discounted rate, so I'm not sure if the two towers command the same room rates. The Bay Tower worked very nicely for us, but it does look like an older property re-branded as Sheraton. Our room looked onto the Bay and North Island-a very excellent view, no noise from airport. Between the two... more
I saw a lot of negative reviews on this hotel and knew that it was built many years ago, so we were dreading having to deal with a run-down property in dire need of a facelift. We decided to make the best of it because we were attending an event that was within easy walking distance. I have to say... more
I reserved a room with a view over the phone and was promised a nice room one month in advance. Upon arrival we were told, "we can't guarantee rooms, but you can have one on the other side, the view of the airport is beautiful". Maybe someone should remind these beautiful minds what the definition of a reservation is! No... more
