Stayed at the Doubletree Hotel in San Diego near LIttle Italy. The parking is 22.00 a night, but you can stay at one of the lots nearby cheaper ,and you can't go into the garage with a suburban or Tahoe vehicle. Too Narrow a garage. The hotel itself is nothing special. Did not receive the hot cookies they're suppose to... More

Hotel is located right off the freeway in DT San Diego. Thanks to the tips on this website we requested a high floor facing away from the freeway. We were treated to wonderfu views of DT and the harbor. Enjoyed standing out on the balcony and soaking in the views. Pros: Low price (through Priceline bidding process), friendly staff, free... We took our daughter and grandson there for a 3 day weekend. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and the location that is so convenient to the zoo and other Balboa Park attractions. We were especially impressed with the response from the hotel management when our daughter left several expensive jewelry items in her hotel room. When she got home... More

The New England Air Museum provides trips each year to our membership. This years destination was San Diego and through the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau the Doubltree Hotel Downtown came to my attention. Working with the sales staff planning my trip was great, as they gave us a great rate including a hot breakfast buffet each morning. Upon... More

I'll start this off by saying that I very rarely have negative reviews for hotels. Not even sure if I've left a negative review on Trip Advisor previously. In reading some of the other reviews, it's clear that they've redone some floors. Floor 15 (1520 specifically) is definitely not one of them. Here's some general feedback from the hotel: 1)... More

Great hotel. We stayed here for the San Diego Comic Convention. Right beside wonderful restaurants in Little Italy. Nice walk to many attractions and the shopping mall. Staff very helpful. Minor plumbing problem in our room on our last day which they sorted within a couple of hours. Free pickup and return to the airport. Our hotel of choice in... More

I stayed at this hotel with my cousins when they visited me and my family, and I must say that the rooms looked great. Besides the great view looking over downtown, the rooms were super clean. My uncle even said that he has never stayed in a room where you can smell the freshness.

Being so close to the Pacific coast helped us a lot.Every morning we went walking to the harborside.Added attraction was the close proximity to Gas lamp quarter, tram lines and trams which were an interesting sight, plenty of eateries like whole of Little Italy for italian food and if you can walk more, then lots of Indian food joints, arabian food hubs are for...
