This was the perfect place to stay to walk to the Broadway Pier to watch the fireworks on the Fourth of July. It was fun walking downtown San Diego and deciding where we wanted to eat. The hotel was near the Little Italy area and there were many eateries to choose from. In the morning, we went to the breakfast... More

Stayed here July 4th - 6th. I'm a Hilton Honors member along with being a member of other hotel families, such as Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriott. I honestly can't believe Hilton or Doubletree allows their names anywhere near this hotel. I mean, it's not a bad place, but not a doubletree or Hilton. Pros: it's in little Italy (San Diego)... Terrible stay. We requested and received a non-smoking floor. However the room right next to us reeked of marijuana smoke. In fact you could hear the guests coughing at odd hours. I called several times to complain that they should be moved to a smoking section to no avail. I had my two young children with me and we decided... More

I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference at the convention center, I was concerned about how far away it was, but as all the other Hotels close the convention were booked I had few options. The convention center was actually an easy walk or a cheap cab fare (about $8.50 including tip). Gaslamp area was also an easy... More

Hotel was centrally located to lots of stuff. The quality for being a Hilton hotel was not what we expected. Leaking tub, room key stopped working, and they over booked the garage. Nice views, good bed, and clean hotel.

my family and I had a great time. the location of the hotel was in walking distance to Little Italy, which we had never been and enjoyed. The hotel was nice, everyone was friendly and helpful, overall a great time had. The only dislike was the parking lot for the hotel, too cramped and small, as we drove in a... More

This is by far the worst hotel on our California tour. We love the Hilton brand and stay with hilton almost exclusively. This location needs a serious update. The first room they put us in had a makeshift shower jacuzzi tub situation. Very low water pressure and strange setup. They then moved us to another room with a shower only.... More

The hotel is in a good location, and if you happen to be around on Saturday, the Little Italy Farmers' Market is right outside the side door to the property. It is an older property, and the age does show. There is a constant in-and-out of airline flight crews at this property, so there's always traffic at the elevator and... More
