I have driven across the United States and have stayed in some pretty humble accommodations along the way. I can honestly say that I've slept in $29/night truck stop motels that were more pleasant than this one. When I arrived I was given a "non-smoking" room that smelled of smoke (or maybe it was mold). When I complained, I was... more

We stayed here due to the rate and ratings that we found online. I thought it can't be that bad. My family and I were vacationing and taking the kids to Sea World. It is rather close but I would not stay here again. The front desk was not helpful and it takes forever to get hot water. The carpets... more

I thought it was a nice location, near condos and apartments rather than a bunch of other local motels/hotels. Easy access to the freeway was really nice and there is an Albertsons and a Von's close by. The San Diego Zoo and Sea World are a short distance from the hotel and the Wild Animal Park isn't a bad drive... more

Stayed at Mission Valley for 3 nights, due to our previous hotel being cancelled (long story). This place was booked by our travel agent at the very last minute, wish it wasn't!! Firstly it's miles from the centre of San Diego and so you need a car to go anywhere, wouldn't rely on buses or taxis as we also tried... more

Don't book on-line because this hotel is part of a chain that has a "buy now" feature that makes your room non-cancellable no matter how much notice you give. Trick is, the buy now feature is a default and you may be making non-cancellable reservations without realizing it. If you are careful and alert, it may be okay to use... more

**** DO NOT USE FOR EXTENDED STAY **** Stayed in a King Bedroom My Fiance and I stayed for four nights and got sick. She left with a pretty bad headache and really congested. Negatives: The Air conditioner had mold or something inside of it because it blew dust and gave a musty smell. 2 out of the 3 lamps... more

if you're looking for a modest hotel this is not it! This is an extremely low budget hotel way off the beaten track of the local beaches. it is actually closer to El Cajon and SDSU off of 8 East. The rooms are musty and the furshings are outdated. We had 2 rooms, a double and a king. The double... more

We stayed one night at this hotel and chose it just because we needed an inexpensive place to sleep before continuing our trip. We arrived at 11pm and had a little trouble finding a parking space in the full lot, but eventually found a space. Our room was nice- very clean, spacious and updated. There was tons of storage space... more

I found this one in a travel coupon book. It was miles out of our way to begin with, and there are no restaurants, other services close by. We walked in to the dingy lobby to behold the breakfast area-basically a counter with some saggy leather couches for seating. We got the keys to the room and went up the... more

OK, my boyfriend booked the reservation thru Days Inn without reading any reviews first. Once he read the reviews he cancelled the reservation 7 days before our arrival. We received a cancellation notice confirming the cancellation. We were STILL charged for the reservations! six days after the cancellation!!! I called to speak to the manager to rectify and reverse the... more
