By the time they are done with the renovations this place will have an extra star! The inn at the park is ideally located, we were able to bike through Balboa Park, stroll by the museums just inside the park very close tot he hotel. The neighborhood offers restaurants and a small market. Great quaint hotel, the one bedrooms are... More

A two night stay at the Inn at the Park (Balboa Park) this past weekend was just fabulous. There was ample street parking to allude the ludicrous VALET parking (for $15 / day) and was a (moral) victory for me! I detest VALET parking in almost ALL occasions! The suite we had was just great....and accessible by elevator and/or stairs... More

A friend and I picked this hotel because it was so close to the Zoo and Balboa Park. We had a great time. Staff is excellent - they called at night to see if we needed anything. The large window with the automatic shade that goes up with the push of a button was so much fun. Great view of... More

My husband and I recently visited San Diego with our two sons (Ages 4 and 1.5) and found the Inn at the Park to be exactly what we were looking for. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and despite this being more of a 'timeshare' vs. hotel, we did not have any pressure to attend presentations. We stayed in a... More

Stayed here last year and loved it. The rooms were clean and spacious and loved the style of the rooms...the bed was great and comfortable and we had great view of the park. The front desk and concierge were both very nice and helpful.

I agree with "Has Something To Say" in the sense that when booking, this property needs to make clear to anyone that it is indeed a timeshare and not a standard hotel with certain ammenities and services expected from a standard hotel. I disagree regarding the comment, "but there is no storage." I don't know what room this person stayed... More

It was not clear to me or I misunderstood when booking this reservation that this "hotel" is not a hotel, but a timeshare. Why is this important to understand? Simply because if you are expecting the amenities of a hotel, you will not receive them. They do not provide a maid service unless you pay extra. Any use of the... More

We had stayed here last year and decided to book again. However, we were unaware of renovations. The complimentary breakfast was gone, no happy hour on the upper level anymore, and no piano bar for a night cap. All gone. Those were the main reasons we wanted to come back. And ran out of coffee in the morning....twice! Doubtful we... More

Tracy May 22, 2014 A large, lovely room with a great window shade and kitchenette, perfect for relaxing and light cooking after a long day at the zoo. The website states that they have a roof deck, lounge and restaurant, but all of those are closed. They need to update the site. The info desk people were not very helpful.... More
