We stayed here 3 nights while in town for a family gathering. I'll start off by saying that the motel itself is in a weird place to access, with the entrance to the parking lot right on a freeway off-ramp. It's easy to pass, and difficult to get into when cars are exiting the freeway - so just a heads... More

I consider myself somewhat of a hotel snob. I'd rather pay extra money and stay somewhere nice, secure, with a lot of amenities and with great customer service. Unfortunately, Motel 6 did NOT make me feel safe or secure and it literally had NO amenities. This was the kind of place that you have to constantly keep peeking out of... More

I've stayed in Motel 6s all across the country and this one is rather quite nice in comparison to many. First, instead of grubby beige carpet that is standard in many budget hotels, there's laminate wood grain flooring in these rooms. Seems more hygienic to me, and is generally just more contemporary-looking. Other pluses: It's a 15-minute drive from Balboa... More

Stayed two nights in April 2015. Went online and set reservations with a few health requirements. When I arrived, front desk very helpful, ensuring my requirements were met. Room was very clean and looked like it was recently renovated. Bed was good and being a Senior, check out time was extended beyond normal checkout time. Prices, with AARP card, .was... More

My son and I went for a quick weekend trip to visit my other son who attends UCSD. This hotel is clean, rooms are renovated and it is right off the highway. The front desk staff was polite and parking was free ( there were many parking spaces available as well)! We were only there to sleep, it is a... More

This was fairly cheap for San Diego, we stayed for 2 nights and paid $126 a night....but compared to other hotels we had on our road trip this was really expensive for what you get. Very basic, clean and tidy enough with free morning coffee, and quite far from everything in San Diego....you really need a car to get around.

Love this hotel. Love the location. Till I booked over a 3 day weekend. Memorial weekend I booked 4 nights. I called the reservation number and told them I would be arriving on Friday instead of Thursday they told me that if I do my rates will go up to $109 per night versus $71 per night which was the... This stay started off wrong with the front desk person wasting my time trying to find someone else a "cheaper hotel in the San Diego area"; Then she though I was with that person. The front desk person had all the charm of a fire plug; anyway it had just rained in San Diego and so with all the moisture... More

We needed to be in San Diego the weekend of Comic Con (but not to dress up as Klingons!) and this was the only reasonably priced motel we could find (even then of course we paid well over the odds). It wasn't in an ideal location for us as we wanted to be nearer to Poway but turned out to... More

It seems to me that Motel 6 has remodeled most of their hotels in recent years.....This Motel 6 is no different. It's small, quiet, and delivered EXACTLY what I have come to expect. Simple check-in and Check out..given the basic essentials needed for a 1-2 night stay. Everybody was polite, and stayed out of sight and mind for the duration... More
