We paid $35 a night for this place. The bed was comfy, as well as the overstuffed chair. The shower had great water pressure and was very hot. Very clean, as well. However, the rooms were small and very little shelf space in the bathroom. The pools were cute, but we didn't use them because of June Gloom. There was... more

Ana Lauri, Ann Marie and Traci did an exceptional job in handling our Navy Submarine Reunion!! Had about 90 attend. Both dinners went great! Food was excellent(London Broil and Chicken) and the service was also very good. Good coordination prior to the reunion by the staff. Lots of good ideas. Rates very competative. Facilities were very nice. Overall we would... more

Property is not a 6 star resort, but certainly has it's own appeal. With a resturaunt on property, convienence store which is open til midnight, a tavern (bar) with pool tables and wide screen television, not to mention....FREE USAGE OF FROGS GYM, 27000 Square foot health club. Who in their right mind would not want to stay there. I can... more

We stayed at the Mission Valley Resort for three nights after a cruise. It's OK - reasonable value for money. It's a traditional motel style resort which is rather tired and in need of renovation. The rooms are OK but quite small, especially by American standards. The pool area is quite scruffy and definitely needs some work. The restaurant there... more

This is NOT a family hotel. It is dated and in need of major repairs. Our room smelled like musky paint fumes. When we changed rooms, one of the employees told us that they just painted the tubs in that building and told the management that they should not rent them two days so the paint could dry. As soon... more

We stayed in room 451 at the Mission Valley Resort for 2 nights in October 08. We wanted to stay at a nice, lower priced ($99 night) hotel that was still kinda close to downtown. The staff were all friendly and helpful but the rooms and property are in need of some work. My room had the following issues: stained... more

I don't really understand all the negative reviews. We live in San Diego and need an inexpensive place to stay for 2 nights while we had some work done on our home. We also have a pet which really limited our choices. We picked the MVR primarily for the price and were really nervous about all the negative reviews. The... more

This hotel was the worst one I have ever stayed in. Many family members stayed here since we were attending a wedding that was held at the "resort". The room smelled like a boys locker room. It was dirty, the wallpaper was peeling, we had ants in the bathroom. The linen was very old and thin. Other family members had... more

We arrived and checked in within 5 minutes. We had a large room with 2 queen beds opposite the swimming pool. I can recommend the hotels eating house the food was very good and a resonable price too. You deffinately need a car if you stay here. and would receommend the hotel to my friends. more

This room wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. The location and proximity to everything in San Diego is ideal. However, the rooms are in need of some serious upgrades. We try not to be too picky, the room served it's purpose (i.e. place to sleep and get ready for the next day) but if we hadn't got it for... more
