I was smitten by our Memorial Day, long weekend at the Marriott Marquis, and enjoyed a flawless experience of decadence in this tropical oasis nestled on the San Diego bay, footsteps from world class attractions and amenities. By my estimation, this is a five-star property by any standard; from gleaming travertine floors or plush carpeting, to spa quality toiletries, and... More

The Marquis was everything a royal vacation could be. We luxuriated in the many creature comforts of this hotel from a spa massage to the sensational libations in the bar at Marina's Kitchen. Our experience was greatly enhanced by the charms and talents of the bartender, PAUL. Dazzling looks aside, his mastery of specialty drinks made our happy hour into... More

We were here on our anniversary, the gentleman who checked us in was very nice but it just felt like a transaction. The room was kind of small for the $200+ room i booked. I got a nice view though so that made up for it. We were interested in the UFC fights and soccer games this weekend and we... More

The management at this hotel is horrible. We were stuck in a room that was right over the bar and had to listen to loud music (with people screaming) till 1:30am. When we complained, management told us it would end at 11pm. The next day we complained again and were told we would be moved to a quiet room. The... More

I came to San Diego for a workshop at the San Diego Marriott Marquis. Why I didn't like it: 1. I was met with a $45 valet fee for them to park my car. It would have been $30 for self-parking. This is a little steep, IMO, and I felt bad for people who had to stay at this hotel... More

The hotel has everything going for it e.g., location, view, food service, and connection to the conference center. The room was typical Marriott and furnished like every other Marriott. Fortunately, the conference I attended arranged for free internet (so we didn't have to pay the usual charge). The 24 market on the first floor was much appreciated-you could purchase both... More

We stayed for three nights in this week for a conference in San Diego. Great property. The staff is super helpful and kind. Starbucks in the hotel is a huge bonus!! The lounge/restaurant area is comfortable and has a great atmosphere. We stayed on the 16th floor with a city view. The room is super comfortable-true Marriott style! The beds... More

This was my second time to San Diego and my first time staying at this hotel. I had a leak in my bathroom and the front desk was so quick to help. They sent someone from maintenance immediately, helped me move to another room with a great view and also gave me a movie rental on the house. I certainly... More

We just spent 4 nights at this hotel and can't say enough about the location and amenities of this resort. We requested and received a top floor with unbelievable views of the harbor and downtown. This rooms are spacious and the dining options are very nice. We especially enjoyed walking the path that winds around the marina, Seaport Village and... More
