The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The view from our balcony was amazing. The pool looked inviting but didn't get a chance to enjoy. The service from the concierge (wish I got his name) was poor. I walked up to ask a quick question. He'd isn't even acknowledge me. He was on the computer doing something that I'm sure... More

ROOMS OK: Typical Marriott rooms, nothing special, the balcony was nice to have. We had to ask for extra towels every day even though I had asked for extra towels on the reservation preferences. POOL AND SPA IS VERY CROWDED: It appeared that some of the people in the pool area were not registered guests of the hotel, as they... More

I've stayed here before and was less than thrilled. I returned two years later (placed there by a client) and have decided NEVER AGAIN. Why? For one thing, if you're going to run a hotel that is this big and this busy, staff it appropriately. You ALWAYS have to wait - whether it's in line or on the phone. And... More

I really enjoyed staying at the Marriott Marquis and Marina. The location does not get any better as you have an awesome view of the marina and bay and you're walking distance from the Gas Lamp District, PETCO Field, etc. The pool area is large with lots of chairs and plenty of shade or sun depending on your preference. While... More

Like the title says, there are a few nice features for this property. After traveling extensively in Europe for years, the room size and amenities were very nice. And I doubt anyone would complain about waking up to see the ocean from the window. Plus, the short walk to the convention center was welcome -- although I was hoping that... More

This is a really large hotel, with its own starbucks and cafe, located on the marina front. The room was nice with a great view when the fog (Marine layer?) cleared. Breakfast was buffet style and not much available if you are gluten intolerant apart from fruit. There's a handful of firepits by the outdoor bar, which you need luck... More

This hotel was fine, but not worth the price. You're paying for the location near the water and proximity to locations such as the stadium and convention center. I have stayed at better Marriotts. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We didn't use the pool area, but it looked very inviting. Seating around fire pits available in the evening. Negatives... More

Recently I had the opportunity of spending three nights at the San Diego Marriott Marquis. My experience was good, but not as great as what I've experienced at other Marriott Hotels I've stayed at in the past. The location of the hotel is fantastic and has quick and easy access to the San Diego Convention Center. The proximity to great... More

My husband and I visited this hotel as our first time trip to San Diego. This hotel made us fall in love with Marriott properties! The hotel is beautiful and at the time was undergoing renovations to the front area. It was not bad at all. We loved walking the harbor area in the mornings, before you know it, we... More

This hotel has a great location for exploring the harbor area. You are close to the Midway, Seaport Village and the harbor cruises. It is well maintained, but rather sterile. Try to book a room with a balcony in the Main Tower facing the harbor. In the summer you will have a front row seat for the Friday and Saturday... More
