This past weekend I was at the Grand Manchester Hyatt in San Diego at Seaport Village California. The hotel is situated very convenient, it's nice hotel, but I had and ordeal with this hotel, they offered me a request for early check in and I accepted it willingly to even pay the extra charge to check in early and when... From check in to check out this was a really good stay. The check in was easy and we were given what we had paid for. We booked the trip on Hotwire and we got the upgrades we had requested and paid for. We did the Club upgrade which gave us the club room which included breakfast and other amenities... More

The SD Grand Hyatt is quite possibly the ugliest hotel exterior i have ever seen. So it is far better to be inside looking out and not have to view this architectural monstrosity. Once inside it is polished, glam, upscale and spacious. Staff is super accommodating. My room was a King in the South tower. Overlooked the harbor and small... More

Excellent stay! Everyone very helpful, great service, great breakfast included with package. Hotel grounds were very nice. Location was excellent. . . much to do within walking distance. Would recommend or would stay again.

No longer is the Grand Club an exclusive VIP Lounge now that the hotel has maximized their profit margin by allowing large and rowdy conference and family groups access to this once serene and sophisticated oasis away from the hustle and bustle of this huge hotel. Worst of all, there is insufficient staff to monitor and advise parents to not... More

Thank you so much for letting us know your thoughts regarding the Grand Club and the experience you had there. Only the guest accessing the Club is allowed to enter, any friends or visiting family are required to pay $25/per person to access the Club; this is enforced by the host of the Club via sign-in sheet requesting the room... Wonderful property and friendly staff. I was concerned by the number of children running freely without adequate parental supervision in the Grand Club. Parents, just because you are on holiday doesn't mean that you are on holiday from your kids. For the sake of all patrons it would be appreciated if the Club staff could be more proactive in ensuring... More

I decided on a whim to take my teenage kids (16 & 19) to Seaworld for the Day. We decided to have a day at the hotel relaxing and enjoy the Downtown atmosphere Gaslamp District it was so fun. The hotel was very GRAND wow felt like Vegas and so inviting, very clean and perfect temperature. We all had a... More

Terri, Yay! We are so happy you and your family loved the hotel. The views are one of our favorite features here too. Every room has a view of the Pacific and/or the city which guests absolutely love. It is such a perfect place to watch the sunrise and the sunsets. It sounds like you and your kids loved the... More

What a wonderful staff. This most me a great place to work. I never saw in negativity with any staff member. From housekeeping, bellmen, checkout or restaurant staff. They all had smiles and were very helpful. I will always stay here when in San Diego. Just a quick car or ferry ride to Coronado Island.

Franny, Thank you for your comments. Hyatt instills an incredible company culture within its operations that makes all of us feel like we are family and that we are all deeply appreciated. It's so nice to know that this shines through each in our interactions with you. Although we take the service we provide and your satisfaction with our hotel... More

I am just back from a stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt where I attended a conference. My room was nice and bright with minor problems that were solved promptly but that are not at the level of quality of an hotel of this price. Service was very good. I do not know if it's because of bad luck, bad... More

Jean, Thank you so much for your review of our property. We apologize that you experienced noisy neighbors. This could range from anything to a wedding party to simply vacationers having a little too much fun. Either way, we realize that this impedes on your ability to get an effective night's sleep and more. Should this ever happen, please always... More

I attended a convention and had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel. Absolute pleasure! The hotel Lobby is magnificent truly old style California. To my surprise the rooms are ultra modern totally redecorated with nice size bath, and decor. My only complaint, I had to ask for shower cap and small amenities that are almost always placed in...
