What can one expect from an older Holiday Inn, but an older one and it shows. Kinda reminds me of an older Las Vegas style hotel. Parking is way overpriced at $22 per day, and if you want a mini fridge its an extra $10 a day. Laundry facilities available, but only 1 washer and dryer per tower, so be... more

I chose this hotel because of location - near the pier. I booked a city view as none of the bayviews were available but when we arrived (before check-in time) they said they had a room available. It was on the 11th floor and overlooked the bay. AMAZING VIEW. We watched the ship come in. It was a little pricey.... more

The room we were put in was located in the south tower, which is quite a walk from the hotel lobby. This was inconvenient when upon checking into our room we found a bug on the bed. The front desk did not pick up the phone so we were forced to walk all the way down there to rectify the... more

My husband was in SD for a convention so I tagged along with our 7 yr old. Our favorite part about the hotel was the location. It was right across the street from the bay, boat cruises, and tours. There was also a great seafood restaurant called Anthony's. We ate there twice. Yum! If you want finer dining Ruth Chris's... more

I arrived to find out that parking would be $22 a day. I was not happy from the start. I tried to check in. Over an hour later, after getting my reservation sorted out with two front desk clerks and a manager who refused to emerge from his cozy office (the desk clerk kept going back to the manager every... more

Okay, let's get the good out of the way right off the bat: this hotel is in just about the best location there is. If you are taking a cruise out of San Diego, you'll be able to basically walk out of your hotel room and on to the ship. I think this is where this hotel gets a lot... more

we picked the Holiday Inn On the Bay because we have 2 small children and the location is perfect. I had a conference at the convention center and it is only a mile away. We went to the zoo, Midway, Old Town, the pool. Great stay. more

I chose this hotel because of the proximity to the Port of San Diego as I was headed out on a cruise. I stayed one day before the cruise and one after. I had a red eye flight and arrived in SD at 8am and the front desk agent was kind enough to have a room prepared and I was... more

This Holida Inn is in a great location right in downtown San Diego right on the bay. It is right across the street from the San Diego Cruise Terminal so cruise ships are coming and going daily. Get a room with a bay view on a high floor and you won't be disappointed. All rooms have balcanies so you can... more

We stayed at this hotel pre and post a Mexican riviera cruise. It was great as it is right across the street from the cruise dock. However as we are elderly and had a lot of luggage we asked for a shuttle ride to the ship and were accommodated. We had a bay front room and it was great looking... more
