We spent 4 nights the Embassy Suites in San Diego. We loved the location on the bay with many restaurants and shops that we could walk to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A person in our party broke her foot during our vacation and they allowed us use of their wheelchair for the duration of our stay. That... More

We stayed at Embassy Suites because the complimentary breakfast is a must especially when traveling with our two young kids. The hotel fare seemed to good to be true and that cliche turned out partially true when we were told that there was a mandatory $42 per day valet parking. Even with this high fixed daily charge, the hotel was... More

Arrived in town for Buffini conference and our room was not ready. Left our baggage and went to conference and dinner. Came back to great customer service and extra nice accommodation for our inconvenience. Room was nice, needed some repair, broken closet door and torn curtain, (maybe not in normal use but we were given because of the over bookings).... More

Ok place for a conference. Brought the family with on this occassion. Rooms were dark and had an odd smell. Breakfast is a great deal, which is why we stayed here. But the check in process is brutal. Sometimes only one person on staff trying to check in lines of people.

Steve J, thank you for your feedback. We certainly could have taken care of any issues with your room right away. All of our guests enjoy the spacious two room suites that come with staying at Embassy Suites by Hilton. We also staff the front desk according to our busy summer business levels. I will certainly share your feedback and... More

Nice hotel close to the bay and all downtown activities. Rooms are quiet, spacious and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is good, but gets very busy the last half hour. Parking is pricey at the hotel at $42/night. We parked overnight for 4 nights at Park it on Market for $15/night which is near Gaslamp and not a far walk. A... More

I love staying at Embassy Suites, as they offer an amazing breakfast, cocktail hour and have clean, spacious suites. One thing to be aware of at this location, is that you basically have to pay $42 a day for valet, as there is very limited parking otherwise.

Check in was very long; when I arrived on my 2nd night my keys didn't work to the room. Took someone 20 minutes while I stood there with my 2 kids at 10:30pm (what a nightmare) Got in room to find that Housekeeping did not make it. Typically, we have stayed at this location and it makes sense. Most likely... More

Nina B, thank you for your review. I appreciate you mentioning the great location as we are walking distance to many of downtown San Diego's attractions. This alone makes our hotel a very popular place. While we do often have guests all arrive at what seems the same time we do everything to get through the line as fast as... More

the room was nice, breakfast and afternoon snack / drink service was nice. the price of the hotel is on the high end side and I do not think it was worth the money $290/night + $42 / day for parking is bit much in my opinion, if you do not like heights this is definitely not the hotel for... More

Daniel T, thank you for your review. So, as I read your two star review you liked your spacious room as well as your complementary cooked to order breakfast each day, and evening reception. All the things that make us different from the res of the hotels downtown. Next time I suggest requesting a room on a lower floor. We... More

We stayed at an Embassy Suites for spring break in Washington DC and loved it so much i was glad to see they had one in downtown San Diego. We had done a premium room before and my teenage son's liked to be able to use the "vending" to get snacks and drinks. At this hotel the stopped using the... More

Cardhshark98, I appreciate the review and your feedback. Our premium suites do come with unlimited snacks of a vast selection of sweet, salty, and a few healthy items so I will need to follow-up on what went wrong. We certainly have no limit on candy bars if that is what important to you. Many of our guests enjoy this feature... More

This is an excellent hotel with exceptional staff. It is within walking distance to the USS Midway, Seaport Village and the Embarcadero. We stayed 3 nights and it was wonderful. We ate at the hotels restaurant called Pacific Grill and Bar. The food is fantastic. I would like to give compliments to two staff members...Ramon ( our server) and Fabian... More
